Well, the downside to paying for all the art up front is that when the KS fails to meet goal, you have an expensive unprinted book.  :-(  oh well.

Thanks to everyone who backed it, I appreciate the support!

Sad news :(

I am interested in two copies a the limited run as you suggest in the KS update. I guess that most of us as well :) So perhaps you can go this way.

Lokiwookie,

This is a possibility in every KS of course - the risk on my end is higher than most because I complete the book and pay for all the art before launching the project...

If other people are interested in a limited print run, they can post here with copy counts.  If I can get enough interest, I'll send the book off to the printer this week.

Thanks!

You should open a thread for this, to get more visibility.

As we discussed through KS, I'm in for two :)

Alyssa Faden's first work-in-progress image from a small section of the new Death & Taxes Regional Map can be seen above. She provided this to give everyone a glimpse of during the funding period.

She is the best at what she does. I say this as a huge fan of hers not simply as a guy selling her maps :)

Backers can get a rolled map add-on (it will be very big...42" x 32" at least) shipped seperately or a folded 18" x 24" in their box set. I can have Alyssa sign the rolled map for anyone who is interested.

Also, I made the mock-up cover for the retro-friendly version of Death & Taxes. They will be in 36pp booklet with the nostalgic folio cover with blue tinted maps on the inside. They are a reward tier at $30 and can be added to any pledge for that amount as well.

Much more information than you probably need is available at the project site - Death & Taxes: A Complete Role-Playing Box Set Adventure by Lesser Gnome — Kickstarter

This module is not included in the $70 level? We have to pledge $70+$30 to get the deluxe boxed set + the retro-module, is it right?
(I still need to back).

That is correct. The retro module only becomes a included option at the $175 pledge level.

You often order multiple copies of the same item, message me if you are thinking about it this time. I bet we can work something out without having you overpledge for anything you might not want.

As you know, us gnomes love sending things to France.

Thunderdave wrote in Kickstarter projects:I confess I was beginning to give up hope on this one, funded November 2011, target date May 2012... but Chris and his team at Blackstar came through!  I'm wearing my backer t-shirt as I type :)   I noticed a few familiar names on the Thank You page, which makes me glad this worked out.
