My Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG book package arrived yesterday.
WOW, but this book is freaking HUGE!
Just this side of 500 pages of gaming goodness that I am looking forward to reading.
This is going to take a LOT of throne time to get through.

I just got my deluxe DCC RPG book today as well and I'm glad I splurged for it.  It is truly gorgeous.  The artwork on the endpaper/flyleaves is spectacular.

Got mine too.  The book is both magnificent and enormous.  You can read it, or use it as a +3 weapon.

Best of all, it came with Doom of the Savage Kings, a module by Harley Stroh, which I got to play (DM'd by Harley himself) at GaryCon.  And in which I died.  Which is what usually happens to my characters in Harley's games.

DCCRPG is not a system for the faint of heart or for those who get too attached to their characters.

Neither was AD&D.

I pre-ordered both the standard book and the foil cover book.

I am wondering if I get the module with the standard book as well as with the foil book.

Haven't seen either one yet.

My copies arrived yesterday, one foil and one standard, and they both came with the bonus module. :)  At one time it was mentioned that the bonus module was limited to only the first 1000 pre-orders, but later I read on the forums that Mr. Goodman was going to take care of all  the people who pre-ordered. ;)  Thank you, sir!

Both versions of the book are amazing; eBooks may be the future, but these babies look gorgeous and will be proudly displayed on my shelves for years to come, safely nestled between protective shrink wrapped box sets on either side.  :D

Hello Mrs. Cleaver, Theodore.

Gee, Mrs. Cleaver ... That certainly is a lovely dress.

As stated above.
The artwork is awesome and extensively provided throughout the book.
First fantasy core rule book that I can recall where even the flyleaves (both sides) were done with superior artwork instead of a blank sheet.
Each chapter begins and ends with a full page art plate with artwork inside the chapters as well.
There are eight pages at the end (just before the few ad pages) of full page B&W art...
Like they had several extra sheets of art and could not resist the impulse to put them in... Amazing.

The $39.99 cover price is (I think) a great deal, though shipping this behemoth overseas must really hurt.
($69.99 for the deluxe Edition)

Word of caution for Pre-Order buyers.
If you remove the adventure, make sure to get ALL the sticky stuff out of the book and off of the module.
And if I were you, there is no question the adventure would be removed, otherwise you wont be able to enjoy the art as much and the sticky stuff could (eventually) damage the page too.

Beautiful!

I still don't like the system, so I still don't want it.   :P

The PDF looks great on my Nook....particularly the back cover endpaper.

I wouldn't know how the hardcopies look...because they haven't arrived.
