beasterbrook wrote:is this right.. from update #7.."Please note that for the higher pledge levels you will receive additional copies of the players guide and softcover book of maps (i.e. $500 Level receives 2 copies, $650/$1000/$1200 Level receives 4 copies, $2000/$3000 receives 5 copies, $5000 level receives 8 copies, and $10,000 level receives 10 copies) but not of the "Cyclopean Deeps" bonus modules."So does that mean at the $650 level, you get 4 books, 4 players guides, 4 map books, 4 level 7b books..but only 1 each of the "Cyclopean Deeps" bonus modules.. Brette:)
Cyclopean Deeps 1 and 2 will be available for sale after the Kickstarter, probably $10 each, though. Those are going to be 16 page modules in a long series of stand-alone "deep underground" locations linked with a D1-3 style "Underdark" map.

Those are going to be 16 page modules in a long series of stand-alone "deep underground" locations linked with a D1-3 style "Underdark" map.So buying 4 $250 pledges, as compared to the $650 pledge, might be expensive to get an extra three $10 modules.

I promise I'll hook up the higher bid guys--but the modules for Cyclopean Deeps are non exclusive--I would lose all my $100 guys if they weren't. Honestly I am getting kicked by most of them for the exclusive module. That being said, I am keeping 7B exclusive. It will be the collectable one.

I was also disappointed to learn that at the $650 level you will only get one set of these Cyclopean depths modules, leaving the 3 other books purchased as incomplete sets.

I look at it this way.. the modules are just that.. and add on to the main attraction.. and its the main attraction that will be worth the most at the end of the day.. the belief that all the bonus modules were "exclusive" made it more so of course, but still 4 coppies of 7b will be fine.. at the $650 level you are $162.50 (inc the 7b)..One of the biggest issues I sometimes find on Kickstarter is "what do I actually get" and the fact the the funding levels are static.. they can change over time, things get added, new levels etc..Brette:)
JasonZavoda wrote:It comes down to the 'bonus' material weighing in at $250 when you pledge at the $650 level. It is a better deal in some ways than the $250 level which makes the 1 set of bonus material cost $150I think in the excitement of the Kickstarter programs with the changing bonuses and rewards people forget that they are pre-ordering a game and it does come down to what you are getting for your money. At $650 you are ordering 4 $100 books and getting supplemental material of undeteremined value but at a $250 cost. The rewards are a nice extra but once they have met the reward goals then they become part of what is being offered for sale. My problem with this revelation from Mythmere on the K&KA site and the information you (Brette) quoted from the Kickstarter Update (which I believe may have changed) dramatically changes what is being offered as rewards. I don't think it was clear that the Cyclopean Depths bonus modules were going to be made available after the release of the book and since they are non-exclusive it is a big change in what a $650 purchase is going to bring you.I don't think this is a harsh view or comment, simply trying to get down to brass tacks about what kind of deal is actually being offered.
