I want to figure out whether there's a discernible difference between:
1) the "real print run" version of GS1 Sanctum of the Stone Giant Lord that I helped Thorkhammer / RC Pinnell produce (as shown here:
http://www.chaotichenchmen.com/2009/05/ ... pping.html ), and
2) the Lulu print-on-demand version of GS1 (as was once available on the Thorkhammer store), or its G4 equivalent (which was only out a very short time before being replaced by GS1).
Specifically I'm curious about interior paper quality or cover stock differences, because the actual word and image contents of those two GS1 variations are identical. I own a "real print run" version of GS1, and it has a non-laminated cover and non-glossy pages. Does the Lulu one have glossy interior pages, a laminated cover, a barcode on the inside, or any other telltale nuances? (Obviously Lulu uses a variety of print houses, and I realize this may be a futile attempt.)
Anybody with the Lulu G4 / GS1 that's willing to check?
Note that I'm not asking for a comparison of the "G4 Anniversary Edition" that Thorkie has for sale presently. Just the versions that were made available in 2009.
