In the summer of 2011 Matt S. from Center Stage Miniatures approached me with an idea. He wanted to do a collaboration project - not unlike some old school miniature companies - and produce a module featuring some his (fantastic) miniatures. Furthermore, Matt really wanted to something related to TSR's iconic U-series. Pardon the pun, but I was hooked. A short time later U1 The Dark Eye of the Hurricane was released. The next module in that series, U2 The Sea Ghosts of Saltmire, will be released at the fourth annual North Texas RPG Con in June 2012.

But that was not the end of Matt's list of ideas. It seems CSM is producing a beautiful line of giants - frost, fog, mountain, etc. - and my phone was ringing. How about a digest module for each giant type? OK, I'm in. However, I really did not want to do another attack the giants' lair adventure. While attacking giant lairs is a worthy and just business, albeit potentially deadly, I did not want to go there. Instead I decided on a more plot-based adventure series. This series is based on the secret and ancient history of the giant races. It delves into their creation and a secret that can unite them. Of course, united giant clans bent on world domination is something that is frowned upon by the current regime(s). The PCs are tasked with discovering the secret and ultimately foiling whatever evil machinations the giants are planning.

Below you will see the cover of first digest module. There will be five in the series and when complete, as with the new U-series, Pacesetter will release a compilation module. In the meantime, Center Stage Miniatures has exclusive distribution rights. Also, like the new U-series, each digest module will be a limited edition print run of 100 copies.

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

OK, so when is it going to be available for purchase and what is the price?

Bill tells me the module is going to print in early March, so when I have that in stock, I'll post the module and miniature for sale on the website.

MSRP is $21.95 for the module and miniature, $18.95 for the Fog Giant alone.'

There are 100 copies of this module available, so if anyone wants to post their interest here, I can set one aside. I have one distributor set to pick up a large number of copies, so those that reserve will be assured a copy with a relatively low print number. I can send out invoices when the modules are in hand.

Just for the record, I'm really impressed with Bill's work on this one. Despite being digest-sized, it's packed full of information that could make for a campaign MUCH longer than one evening. And the Fog Giant is a pretty large piece of metal, too.

I'm in for the miniature & module. I was going to buy the Mountain Giant too but I guess I'll wait until he has his own module. Thanks!

I expect to send the modules to CSM around March 15-18. I will update delivery date when I get a completion date from my printer. He is on vacation until Monday.   :(

I'm in.

Is there a pic of the giant yet?  Or are you waiting to reveal that?
