My top offer was $125 and I turned down a counteroffer of $250 so less than that.

I think we are at 5 copies now.

Thank you, Jason, for the post here: I'd probably have been too late by the time my email notification arrived from eBay.

No problem. What is this? The People's Republic of the Acaeum. It's capitalism, baby. Don't they do private sales on ebay anymore?

My apologies to faro.  I wasn't trying to call anyone out.  I was upset with the fact that I had worked with the seller to do a private sale of their extra stock, that wasn't even listed on eBay, and they decided to post it as a publicly available BIN auction.  By the time I was able to get to the auction, they were sold.  I don't fault anyone for jumping on the opportunity.  It was a good price.  I'm frustrated because my efforts were for naught.

I've done this before, what I typically do is have the seller list it as something innocuous and NOT the actual item title.  I do the same thing when making a private sale on ebay (EX selling a Amazing Spiderman #129, I might just list "Old Comic" and a generic picture of something else).  Then I send the link to the buyer (or have them do the same and send it to me).  If you are saying you had agreed to a private sale and they just went ahead and listed it, well that sucks.

Holy Sh't! How prices have changed.
Author sitting on two copies must be a very happy man.

Wow!
So what was the final offer price?

Still, does that make it four copies in existence now?

Holy Smoke !!!
Hmm, I now know of 5 in existence;
1 > Authors Library (me)
2 > Authors Library (me but promised to another)
3 > My publisher friend said she still has hers.
4 > Sold in 2007 (?)
5 > this Copy

Seriously ...$1,300. Okay Yes maybe I will start working on RD 2-5 LoL, I need to seriously read the back chatter before posting.  So someone paid around $200 for it.  WoW nice. If you find these and would like me to sign them ..Just ASK, I would be honored.

I have a record of one selling in 2010 as well.  It sold cheap, $32 but I forgot to bid.

Isn't it amazing that even the most obscure home published works, all crop up on eBay sooner or later?
So, possibly 6 out of 50? That's a pretty good survival rate.

Dbartman, if it sells out (again) before you get a chance to buy one, you can have the copy I just snagged.  Didn't really need it but I thought I'd pick one up at that price, if you don't want or need it I'll try to sell it at NTRPG con next year. PM me if you need it.
