It's as good as any other of the modern, OSR or multi-game magazines.

Hey, thanks.

For the first time during check out (i have not bought or done much on ebay in a while), it asked me to link my paypal and ebay accounts for "faster" check out. First of all, it takes all of about five seconds to check out normally, so faster seems like a straw man. They had two options: Link accounts and Not, now. I was looking for a third: F..K Off, but I could not find it. So I went with Not,no...or ever.

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

Finally! Yes, it was not cheap, but I was sick of losing.

I was wondering what that change to the checkout was. At first I thought I somehow got sent over to a phony/phishing site. I wound up not bothering linking anything either.

Ebay bought Paypal years ago, so linking the accounts isn't much of a risk.  I did it, and the process is a little cleaner.  Not a big deal either way.

That is a nice game. The AH Starship Troopers Boardgame (Movie edition, not the original) uses similar mechanics. If you can get hold of the AH game it is a simple and enjoyable tactical boardgame.

First, the item:

** expired/removed eBay auction **

...then the question: is this the correct thread or is the silliest price the correct thread? I honestly miss the reason for such a high price...  8O

Well, it's NobleKnight. 6% discount (wow!!!) from their normal retail. In fairness, all the hard copy has to be shipped from Finland, and that costs big time. (I know first-hand; we had to send a box o' stuff home when we were there last summer. Cripes.)

PDF much cheaper direct from LotFP here.

Nothing reminds a reseller that prices are not fixed quite as directly as the cost of international shipping.  It is quite common for overseas shipping to cost more than the item.  In one instance two years ago, a customer paid $68 to have a rather common $10 item shipped to Australia.  When I asked why they were willing to pay the shipping the reply was direct and easy to understand.  They could not find another seller willing to ship the item to them.

I firmly believe that an item is worth what the buyer will pay.  And, I do not assume that there is not a buyer when I decide not to pay any asking price.

If NKG shipped in a case and is playing postal arbitrage to their own financial advantage, good for them.  That is what a business is supposed to do.  If that is the case, any of us who decide they are benefiting too much from the arbitrage, is welcome to have a case shipped over and compete based on price.  I, for one, don't see the benefit to a second party starting a price war.  And, if NKG and/or T&T are the only vendors to bring these in... then their customers have a reason to keep coming back in spite of occasional flames on this website  Ehh?

So is the price silly?  It doesn't appear to be to me.  I certainly expect they will sell it/them.

It also appears to be out of print, so I'd guess its price has more to do with that than shipping costs.
