Volume 3 was selling for about $25 or more last year.
The others sell for around $10 each.
I just pulled one listing that has Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 both for just $11.99 with $4 shipping, and another listing that has Vol. 3 alone for $40.45 free shipping.

Not many sell as a complete set, but in the past I have seen the sets listed from $25-$45... when I took notice.
If I did not already have two sets, I would bid on this one, until it reached over what I would pay at least.

I guess being a set fetches more per item. I had volume 2 up for months at $6.95 and it finally sold recently. Unless it's not a *1st* version, which I wouldn't know the difference.  :|

There's a decently-priced Aliens + Expansion + CD soundtrack set on eBay at the moment, in case anyone's looking:  $250 BIN, $150 min bid:

I don't know much about the game, but there is one over on rpggeek.com for $50 (missing 1 character card) and the expansion is also on the same list for $50 (also missing 1 room card). Like I said, I don't know much about it but it might be good for some one.

If you arent much of a collector and dont care about the condition its a frickin' steal at $50 apiece.  But if you want a nice collectible copy of both you are going to pay upwards of $200 dollars normally.  I just sold my copy of both the Aliens box set and the Expansion for $212.  The box was in really nice condition, not mint, but definitely better than the one grodog posted.  And mine was complete but punched.  I've seen unpunched copies go for $200 without the expansion.  8O

Courting Madness sold for a bargain, comparatively.

Man those auctions were through the roof. I never expected them to go that high. At 23:00  my time it all was still reasonable. $207 for the Library edition, $175 and $141 for the player kits, $91 for courting madness, $31 for Killer crosshairs and $46 for the weapons compendium. Oh how it can change in a few minutes time  :D

** expired/removed eBay auction **

Starting Price is way too high at $1000.

But before you say that is insane, check the autograph listing in the description.
Arneson and Gygax are only two of the luminaries listed as signers.
I think this unique collectable item warrants some attention at the least; and perhaps a bid or two from some of our high end collectors.

Nice! I just sent him a question asking of he would be prepared to sell off a slice (perhaps one with a bit of a name on it)... would go lovely with some crackers and pickle. And a cup of tea.  :D

No, definitely not, Ralph :D  Oops, and I messed up, too:  I own only one CM (after all, just how much madness does one need to court? :D ), but I do own two copies of Stark Raving Mad---one from Pagan BITD, and I ended up with the second one on the cheap when I bought CM a few years ago.

And apparently the $100 I paid for the 3rd printing Weapons Compendium a few months ago is looking a lot better right now!  8O

I don't think these prices have to be looked as new reference prices... Just insane without reason (oh yes, a big money guy wanted it...)

I agree.  Those prices were all over the place.

IMHO:

Courting Madness - print run 200, traditionally the most expensive CoC item, except maybe for the 1E Designer's Edition box - sold at $256, should have easily been $50-100 higher

Killer Crosshairs - print run 200 but not numbered on the book, no actual CoC content, only has value because it's by Pagan, the later version by Biohazard is $5-10 and has more stuff - insanely high at $308, reasonable is more like 1/3 that, maybe even lower

Anniversary edition - print run 300 - yes, unopened and in the original shipping box is very cool, but $511 seems high to me by about $200 - there are even more limited versions of this and I'd be surprised if they sold for that much  ($500+ is in the range of 1E Designer's Edition at the top of the market, and those are down down down)

Weapons Compendium - print run unknown, but there are at least three printings known, so I think it's higher than the others - I agree with grodog, $204 seems about $100 too high

Walker In The Wastes and Realm Of Shadows Player Aid Kits - print run unknown, but a good chance these are the rarest of the group - $316 each?  I'd estimate these at more like 1/2 that.  Undoubtedly hard to find.  But what's the value?  They're nicer versions of the handouts already provided in the books.  Seems king of silly to pay THAT much for that sort of thing, but everyone has different priorities, I guess.  *shrug*

All the other lower value items were generally in the range of what I'd expect, except the Antarctic Expedition Pack went a little low at $36.  That's pretty hard to find for a Chaosium release, and has been trending up in the last couple years.  I'd see that more at $50-60 for a decent copy these days.  Of course, it's basically handouts like I just railed against, so YMMV.
