Aren't most of those A&E's available direct from Lee Gold?

Was it last year at Gencon or the year before that I thought I saw one of these for sale?

Sold for around 600.00 I think...

Troll and Toad is selling an OSRIC book listed as new.  For $37.

I wonder if its the Lulu or Black Blade version.  I can't imagine how T&T would get an OSRIC book unless it were sold to them as a used item.  I doubt they're buying inventory from Black Blade and reselling it.

Just speculating here, but I imagine that those copies are ones that T&T ordered from Lulu.  I know for a fact they have not purchased copies from Black Blade or Usherwood Publications with T&T as the reseller.  Individuals from T&T may have purchased individual copies here or there - we did have copies at Gen Con 2010, after all, as well as at GaryCon and NTXRPG Con - so I suppose it is possible that those are the BBP/UP OSRIC hardbacks.  But I think it is unlikely.

Sure as hell wish we could charge $37 per!  We'd be in tall cotton if we were charging that price!

Ask John? :)
Three bidders at £82+, anyhow.

It's not the rarest UK item and there have been a few other copies in shrink - almost invariably the covers are rubbed, if not - but it has a very good reputation. Deservedly so, IMO.

I did want one in the original packaging, but it wasn't worth that much to me.

i realize the following will be blasphemous in some quarters, but here goes: i have owned starstone for some time, but i had never given it more than a passing glance. when i saw that one was up in the shrink, it prompted me to find mine and check on it's condition (which i knew to be unshrinked). but i am happy to say, while unshrunk, it is nonetheless in nm condition (maybe nm- i'll have to have a closer look). so anyway, i didn't bid.

Shrink is not a condition
