I let it run through on the previous listing to see if the seller would reduce it :)

Still a bargain given the rarity, IMO: snag that one then wait several years for a better copy... (Good for you being able to see that seller's listings - I presume you actually need to sign in with a live US or Canada ID to be able to, since they've changed their system?)

Don't like the "new system".  I usually try 2 things:

1.  Log in and change my shipping address to appropriate country then try to view.
2.  Use a different browser and don't log in, look at another auction and set the shipping to appropriate country, then view listings.

One of those two usually works but is a pain.

Hey, that worked out ok!  Thanks for the tip Steve :)

I draw the line at collecting... D&D Towels.

Did we need: Jade Magi Sewer Crawl

Shoulda been: ".. from Pangreenia to Floratopolis, from mystical Treeonia of spectral Forests to Schruborial dimensions."  - The Forests of Leng

Right, I suppose I'd always thought of FASA as being Shadowrun and Star Trek... they'd never made my 'wanted' lists. I don't collect sci-fi :)

I read somewhere the TW cover-art is just slightly different, I'm looking forward to checking that out.

Looks like a nice copy of what appears to be a first print Thieves' World.

Yep, all four FASA TW modules have slight differences on their covers.

I think the Gamemaster book is missing the cover.  Or it's a version I haven't seen before... which is saying something...

Yeah, I'm pretty sure.  Compare:

A frankensteined box? It looks like the 2nd edition booklet, with paper cover.

Oh, well; bidding finally took off. So much for flying under the radar in the "wrong" category. ;)

I hoped that noone spot it... But it is not the case. Sooooo Pellinores book! Already for nearly $500, very surprising. My estimate was around $250.

Probably a couple of aggressive bidders who only have a few holes in their collection.  I haven't dug out my 3rd edition Pellinore to check but is this actually Tunnels & Trolls related (other than the author)?

I thought it was D&D related.

Anyway, price is impressive  :o

More or less the usual rate of inflation around here nowadays, I'd've thought?
