Actually it's at indiegogo, but they're cool too:

I was amused to see that at least a few people still care about DQ.  Pretty expensive buy in for this one, but still potentially interesting.

Interesting, I am a DQ fan. But... $40 for a module?  8O

When there are only a couple hundred people on the planet who might even care, it's sort of understandable.  But I do think they could something with lulu or rpgnow more cheaply.

You have to remember that these "Kickstarters" aren't pre-orders.. although a lot of them are.. there are (supposedly) to "help" fund projects ie pay for artwork, pay for writers..

This particular kickstarter is probably the least attractive offering I have seen.

For $25 you will receive....get this...an electronic copy of the module.

But wait...there's more!  They will give you the electronic copy at least six months before it is available for free!

Whoopee!

Great sales work!

That was my impression.
Some guy just in to make a lot of money for his homebrew adventure without having to give most people anything at all.
This is the sort of kickstarter that gives the whole idea a bad name.

Give me $25 and I'll give you a free PDF before I upload it to the web for free.
And then in increments, the more money you give me, the more of my module I'll let you write for me, and don't forget, you'll still get a free PDF of your own work before I give your work away to everyone else for free and screw you out of your copyright. What an AH.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.
