Video and pictures are up: http://www.bravehalfling.com/page18.html

Please note that a second Old-School Gaming Box (with a new Pete Mullen cover) is now also available. If you ordered a box prior to January 24, you will get one of the Mullen boxes to compensate for the wait.

All previous orders ship on Friday. Thank you for your patience.

Old-School Gaming Boxes with Erol Otus & Pete Mullen Art!

This product is a 9" wide x 12" long x 2 3/4" deep, sturdy box (aqueous protective coating) featuring brand-new, full-color covers by Erol Otus and Pete Mullen! That's plenty of room for 2-3 retro-clone hard covers, soft covers or a few dozen modules.

They are available here: http://bravehalfling.com/page18.html

Damn, missed the cutoff by a week :). That's what I get for dawdling.

The EO box looks great; looking forward to figuring out what to stash in it.

Get a battery backup and have your stuff go through that, even if you break the rules and use power strip coming out of it, they act as backup in case of power outage, and they act as power surge in case of power spikes, and they act as power conditioners in case of brown outs.

I know RPG publishing doesn't pay a lot, but it just takes one fried computer for it to be worthwhile.

Get a decent one, as well. APC, something like 1000VA or more.

What he said.  I've always had my computers and monitors (at least) plugged into a UPS.  Nice to have when the power goes out so I can save my work and power down my system properly.  The one I have is an APC 750VA and its is plenty adequate for what I have:  PC, LED monitor, printer, router, powered usb hub, speakers, and two external drives.

I agree, a good battery backup unit is worth the investment. And of course, don't forget that it's possible to simply write the names/addresses on the labels manually :).

Some of my fondest IT memories are of people asking frantically what to do when the systems were down, especially the POS (point-of-sale) people. I would usually be prepared for the panic, and bring with me pencils and pads of paper and hand them out. Not everyone found it amusing (or even useful).

Thanks for the suggestions, guys! I shall invest in such items. Although I did have a very powerful surge protector, but the surge was mighty big.

Bummer, sorry to hear!

If you have a reputable companies power surge protector on there and it still got through, most of them have a guarantee backing them. I'm sure it's a ton of fine print and possible hassle, but might pay for a new label maker if you're up for some hassle.

Folks have been asking me about just how much gaming material you can get in one of these game boxes, so I made another, quick video: http://youtu.be/Ra-2ApklHq4

There are a few very large orders I still have to ship. I may ship them Fed Ex instead of USPS. Working that out today. If your order is a small one (less than 3 boxes) email me your name and paypal email and I will see what happened: [email protected]
