What looks to be a really nice RQ Box set. Not familiar enough with the game to tell how old the set is print wise but appears to be in nice condition....

Can you let me know how early a printing that was? Just so I know if I ever see one again like that/

I'm thinking it's pretty much the 1981 "deep box" set. If there are any odd bits, though, I'll post them here or PM you.

SPI War of the Ring, 4 days, 23 hours to go.

Note that this includes the more-rare Sauron and Gondor mini-games, as well. This is a nice score, if anyone has been looking to get in on WotR.

It's at $81 as I type this, which would be a bargain ...

Haven't kept up on the price of all the various printings of this. I have the White box and the Greenish but not the one with the two expansions. I actually have that less the box but I digress. What would be the expected final price on the set with the two expansions as I think $100 or so is the normal price for the Green box set or am I off on that?

stupidly, i sold my box with the two mini-games before the films were out  :x

mind you i still got £50 for it, so that was cool and when a mate moved down south somewhere, he sold it to me when we were at school, for £4 (which was a lot to me then!). 1 week later, one sold for £100 so i was really pissed at that :)

ah well such is life. i didnt know its value back then. i never really played the war of the ring tho - far too complicated and it made the game too hard to play, so we just stuck to gondor anyway.

Titan Games say they've got a copy of Complete Warlock by Balboa Games. I can't find it on their site, or in a search, so maybe its gone already, but its a good buy, and it doesn't come up too often. Only two last year. So maybe it's worth searching for if you've got the patience and willingness to stoop to buying from TAG.

Remember to allow $30 for the shipping and ask for proof of condition.

$1.99 vs. $305!

Now that's something you don't see every day :)

Just chatting with someone who hasn't seen BofB before. I have to admit I wasn't looking very hard.

How common is it?

I will start a thread about BotB to get more attention from the casual browser.

not necessarily an "interesting item on e-bay", but just wondered how much these are worth, valuewise?

He failed to sell it last time. Pity... ^^

All depends on whether his lack of bidders balances his higher reserve.

(Darn. Didn't notice Noble Knight had one (in proper VGC?) at $25. Might've gone for that).

Ben Burns is back up selling his home-made 1E AD&D modules.

cgi.ebay.co.uk/D-D-Original-NEW-Module- ... dZViewItem

These are the sorts of things that will appear on the Afterglow lists of the future. Home published obscurities that turn out to be rare. They're not a bad read either, and for a couple of dollars you can't go wrong.
