A somewhat beat up Tome of Mighty Magic in a lot (doesn't appear to be Gamescience reprint since it's digest sized):

Slightly off-topic, but it's a rarity; and unfortunately already has far too many people drooling over it for me to have a hope of snagging. :(
Might as well post here, just in case anyone's interested...

Gorgonstar Titan + Battlelands supplement; apparently very fine condition
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 5209335342
$115 with 4 1/2 days to go

Would suit Dave Trampier fan with lots of cash. (*looks around for any*)

Expect a final price around $500-700. ('bout the same as Talisman plus a few expansion sets, these days ;)).

Well, I did ask that (although I didn't ask whether all those drooling bidders had washed any of them away... water-soluble ink tends to increase the rarity of good-condition copies somewhat).

Actually, most of the Gorgonstar set lots I've seen auction over the past two+ years go for $200-350 or so.  They seem to be about as hot as the NM/shrinked AH editions, with a little bit extra for being the original editions.

*g*. If it looked as though that auction was heading for $275 (barring any hidden problems), I should've kept silent!

2003 GenCon was $175 for a shrinked AH edition vs. $625 for Gorgonstar edition, plus supplement: the latter probably held the former down a bit... :)

Was guessing ~$300-350, plus $200-250 or so for the (rare) supplement.
And then a possible boost since it's on eBay and clearly being "hunted down", rather than in a GenCon auction. ;)

(*watches*)

Wow, I haven't seen Demogorgon and Orcus together since the Games Centre in the late 70s.

Cool minis 8) Pity my own Demogorgon was never the same after my early attempt at mini painting and a can of lime green paint.

What's even cooler is that the seller has over 250 Minifigs lots up, although none of the GH ones as far as I could tell.

Here is another Wizards Aide being sold by the original author again:

Neat book and a nice guy. :)

Close enough, after being "stuck" at $115 for a long time.
eBay.com Item Bid History

(And that was with a slightly non-helpful seller who took three days to check the counters and then only provided a total, rather than confirming the manifest.)

Howdy David -

I had a go at the Titan set - threw in a $414 snipe that got swallowed by the last minute action and didn't register. I was thiking anything up to $500 would be a good price, but $700 is a little high, although of course they very rarely come up.

Maybe the next one...

Regards

Mike

Can I correct this.  It should now be in the silliest prices thread. 8O
