Well at least it's good to hear the seller ain't going to pull a paid-for sale, like I was on the receiving end of... (and after it was posted, too).

*nods on the $/fair price comment*. Plenty of other people around here seem willing to offer $25 for a $250 item.
Still dunno 'bout that, given we seem to be in a position of "unfair advantage"; even when the seller makes the offer....

*shrugs*. But enough of that, I s'pose.

*goes back to looking at the neat Vaughan Bode (Cobalt 60, Cheech Wizard, etc.) cover art on that Guidon 'zine*

I have two of the Guidon newsletters - the one from this auction, plus one from January 74. I'm not sure how often they came out, most likely quarterly I would think. Otherwise you might have had some more competition.

Guidon Games was basically Don Lowry and his wife Julie I think. They gave up publishing games (financial decision it seems) when they moved to California, and just did the mail order and Panzerfaust/Campaign mag. I'm not sure when the mag went under - the latest issue I have is #111, from the early eighties.

I've always been a huge fan of Tom Wham's work - I sold off a few Polyhedron's earlier this week and after they'd sold I was packing them up and noticed some Wham cover art on issue 29 or 30 - a Wizard's Tower. Absolutely fantastic - I should have looked under the mailing cover before I listed it.

Regards

Mike

It's not an RPG... I think... since it has 108 unit counters. But I've never heard of it... anyone?

This was a minigame released by Mayfair during the minigame craze of the early 80's (not sure of the date), joining Transylvania, ICBM and Star Empires as Mayfairs only releases in this format.

A couple of Hess items in this lot, one being the first item number produced. They look like they are in good shape.

I have the "coug" bid up to less than 1 increment on that for anyone looking to snipe.

ebay.fr

Bunch of generic items from various editors, with 2 / 3 days left in excellent condition. There are not many bidders at the moment. I don't know anything about these items but perhaps it would interest some of you, generic hunters   .

eBay listings

PS : This french seller is reliable (already dealt with him).

Shield2000 is a great guy. No need to worry about buying from him.

I've seen original shrink copies of several AH games on eBay in the last year, including Titan....

Actually that is a 2nd Print, the 1st has a yellowish cover with that same artwork inside (I have both). I am slowly having to become an expert on these things    :)
