I was intrigued as to whether this might be something incredibly rare. While I didn't find any direct information on it, I *did* find an item being sold on the Flying Buffalo website -- "25 computer-generated character sheets in an envelope". The price: $2.

It occurred to me that the auction is stating that the artwork on the front is by Danforth, 1977. It doesn't actually claim that the item is from 1977. ;) I surmise that some bidder is going to get burned pretty bad here.

I got the one I ordered from Flying Buffalo today, sure enough it is the same.  Guess I should have bought two...

It's true, they are hard to find.  From Schick's Heroic Worlds:

The Compleat Tavern---Kerry Lloyd with Richard Meyer (Gamelords, 1981) Digest sized, 24 pages, map, cardstock sheet. "Supplement of rules and guidelines for detailing the standard tavern adventurers always seem to visit. Includes data on rates, clientele, rumors, gambling, inebriation, and brawling, with a tactical map and cardstock miniature furniture as aids in resolving brawls."

Phantastical Phantasmagorical Montie Haul Dungeon---Larry Richadson & Kerry Lloyd with Rich Reichly (Gamelords, 1982) Digest sized 40 pages. "Silly scenario; a parody of gilded hole dungeons where the illogical is the norm."

I bought one of each also...can't go wrong buying 20+ year old gaming items for 10 bucks each!

I believe it was Kerry Lloyd's son that I had seen posted on another forum years back (sadly it seems those posts have been deleted) correcting the rumor of Lloyd dying in a car accident, cause was actually a heart attack. Also another module in the Haven series was on some editors old computer (though if it could ever be retrieved I'm not sure..trying to remember what was said at the time). The rights were sold, though interest for aquiring them was stated. Again I don't think it ever came about, or no further contact was established.
I seriously loved the whole series, and got them for cheap..especially the hard to aquire items from soem guy who had a lot of them (Haven city looseleaf, red binder with TG 1-3. And I even tried finding those posts again too..  :(  also gone).

$81 for #1-10, Special #1 and a freebie Monty Haul

Was tempted to cover over the thread when Allan(?) spotted them but the lack of picture put everyone off, anyhow.
Already had the #2-5 (IIRC) in loose leaf format, so was perhaps a touch excessive just to pick up #1 in same...

Yeah, good stuff... :) :)

oh... that I haven't seen, but just spotted it on Afterglow's.
Is that a plain binder, or special for the series? *adds my list, if so*. thx!

Anyone know if I got a good price on this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... :EOAB:US:6

I know that its T&T, but it looked interesting enough and it had a BIN that I stared at for the last day or so, until I finally decided to pull the trigger.

I also picked this up a few weeks ago, but it finally arrived today  :

If you post it on the "fun finds" thread instead of "interesting items", I'll say "yes". ;)
(But I think the answer's "yes", anyhow! :D)

Neat title page...

(aside: the earliest Dragons from the same seller are still a good price, but pref. not at the BIN).

Absolutely. The first-edition City of Terrors is a great addition to any collection; I've seen it go for a little bit less, but often for quite a bit more. It also has the distinction of being the first T&T equivalent of a "super-module"; the first eight T&T programmed adventures were all much smaller in size and scope (and most were much more A-to-B linear).

Ahh, Outdoor Survival, mine and my brothers favorite game before we discovered D&D.  We were so far ahead of our time; we had our own different scenarios...one was we were bank robbers escaping a big job, and we had to split up and go across the board...of course, you could land on another player, fight and try to kill each other and steal each other's bag of money....each player had a gun with six bullets, you could use them to kill stuff like bears, snakes, mountain lions, etc, or shoot each other (or shoot yourself to die with a little dignity if you were in the desert dying of thirst...).  But the best part was the homemade encounter tables....we had six encounter tables, you rolled one six sided dice which picked encounter tables 1 through 6, and each table had six results, for 36 results in all....man, we had everything from bear attacks, lion attacks, rattlesnakes, wolves, landslides, park rangers (armed with rifles of course), insane mountain men with knives, floods, fires, pits, falling trees, swat teams in helicopters, I swear I think we even had UFO abductions (but you could fight them off with your revolver).  We could play six games ina  row and still have fun.  Ahh, good times.
