Actually, no, the NIPI Fantasy Master stuff is heads-and-shoulders above Cloudland in quality:  that module is awful.  I was quite disappointed when I finally tracked a copy down.

I thought about buying it because I had a vague idea that it was rare (collector's disease), but $20 plus postage is a large purchase for me.

I thought about running Cloudland for my PCs years ago for just pure evil sadistic abuse...just as written.  Terrible adventure, though I think I liked the maps if I remember correctly...

No longer, but on the plus side it's issue #3, not #2 (the latter somewhat easier to obtain).

Re. the seller's comment on the 'zines: yes, somewhat agreed at the time as to the relative merits of Gryphon and Dragon. Alas, despite showing good potential the Gryph did not last. :(

I read the seller's comments about Gryphon.

One of the things that always mystified me was game magazine publishers who were planning to get into Dragon's market by covering games other than D&D.

Dragon, of course, was prospering because it covered mostly D&D.  In fact, when Dragon tried to diversify to cover TSR's other, lame games, the magazine suffered.

Jumping into a market created almost entirely by one game....and then arrogantly announcing that your magazine will not be extensively covering that game....hmmm.  Where do people get these kinds of marketing ideas?

(I remember a Dragon reader poll in the 80's that asked what other games we buyers wanted Dragon to cover.  I answered, "AD&D, AD&D and AD&D."  Apparently, lots of others did the same because the next month the editor responded something like, "OK, so now we know you want less of other games and more of D&D."    Interestingly, that was the same issue in which whoever was responding told us that TSR was planning to go ahead with 2nd edition AD&D even though we readers had told him it was a bad idea...because TSR knew better than us.)

gamma world miniatures.

Gamma World Box: Role Playing Games | eBay

what is interesting about this auction, is that the owner is trying to gauge the interest level for selling off original cover art for the miniatures box  set (if anyone is interested).

frank, well he has a reserve on that lot, which will be £50 AT LEAST.

the only sensible way to ship them to the US is surface. they will prb weigh quite a log i imagine.

but if anyone wants em and wants em sent on or something, just gimme a shout.

*g*. I'd hope they'd get at least £50, otherwise they're in for a big-time loss on their outlay.

Firen has four high bids on the Creatures of Chaos 1, currently languishing in Greg Stafford's latest batch

** expired/removed eBay auction **

$4 with 20 hours to go
- also an unwanted copy of perChance at the same price: printing error doesn't help, phps?

No such languishing on the Nomad Gods, I see... (What d'ya say, Mike (mdr003) :)).
