I talked to him before, what he bought was a warehouse in NY from the previous owner Tony Zilz (sp? - have to dig out my notes) so is actually the second or third owner of that huge lot. I've bought from him, and also from Tony.

Fencert is a member of the Acaeum...although not a real active one.

He has been looking for a buyer for his entire Judges Guild stock, and his post here was in search of someone interested.

He has a battle mat that he wants to distribute, and he has been trying to clear out all of his warehouse space for that project.

Traveller lot including Beltstrike box set, the Traveller Adventure, the Traveller Book, and three Alien rulebooks.  The Beltstrike box set looks to be complete.

$39 for a stack with 2 days to go but will probably require a fairly large snipe to win if everything's complete.

RE: City of Chaos.  Lots of opinions on Boardgamegeek.  The overall view seems to be that it's cool but has very low replay value.

Someone got a bargain and the seller loses out. What a schmuck.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

I wouldn't rip someone off.  I honestly think he got a very fair price.  In fact, I really doubt those models would have even gone for as much as I  paid if the auctions were allowed to run their course.

There was a total of 29 modules he had up. Only #3.5 was worth more than cover price.  You can easily get the rest of them for 30% off of retail on eBay.
The retail price for the 28 modules (everything but 3.5) is $350
30% off of that is $245
Given that data (which is what I used to make him my offer), I paid over $200 for 3.5.
Do you really think he would have sold EVERY item for a full 70% of retail, PLUS made over $200 for 3.5, had he allowed the auction to run their course?
Add to that the eBay fees, and the added hassle of collecting money from 20+ different people and packing & mailing 20+ different packages.

I think the whole transaction was perfectly fair to both of us.  Not every transaction like this involves a buyer ripping off an ignorant seller.

That DCC #3.5 is a TOUGH one to find though, and if you were hoping to bid on it, I can understand your frustration.  It went for a very fair price IMHO.

Ever think that the buyer lost out!  Both sides must have been happy with it or the deal would have never went though.

What would you have said if you made the deal :?
