James Ward told me that TSR had plans to print a WWII game about the Nazis...but that he was persuaded not to do so because it would offend people.

Was this the game that got scrapped by TSR...possibly in a revised edition?

Looks more like a reprint of the articles from the 1968/69 IFW zines, IMHO... No game there as far I can see.

Ward wasn't clear on why the game got canceled...that is, why it was offensive to Jews, etc....  I supposed that it had to do with something about WWII from the Nazi perspective.  I have wondered about it since, because there are certainly lots of WWII games out there.

I wonder if this was the seed for the game that never took off.   :?   I recall that Ward said it was in the late planning stages.

Quite so, and predates even Tactical Studies Rules (inc?).

... and an unpunched Sticks & Stones in that Metagaming lot, too. Good stuff.

Those Dwarfstars are the grails for many microgame collectors. A complete set of eight, unpunched? Let's just say that would be a rare beast, indeed.

The last one of those before mine went for about £80, so I think that's a damned fine price.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . radishes.

Nice run of White Dwarf magazines including some earlier issues...

Under 3 hours left and only $18.50 with reasonable shipping it seems.

From the seller:

"All magazines are in good condition, although some do show a little wear and tear. However, I have not been able to find any torn and/or written on pages. All are in their own individual plastic sleeves. This lot includes the following White Dwarf editions: 7, 8, 12, 15, 21, 24, 30-33, 35-37, 39, 40, 42, 43, 45, 50-54, 56-62, 64-70, 76, 78, 100, Best of Scenarios III, and Best of Articles I, II, and III. A total of 44 magazines"
