I'm not Frank — nor have I ever played him on TV — but I'll chime in with a shout-out for the Web Grognards. The site could use a little touch-up in the layout department, but it's got a ton of information and many, many links.

Referencing a query from the previous page. Apparently, my typing speed is too slow to be competitive around here. :)

Not like here, with price guides and such, but forums, sure.

Try ConSimWorld (also referenced via the Grognards above).

Marlith - I can recommend a few.  For discussion, try consimworld (ConsimWorld News — Board Wargames) - like the Acaeum it's organized into many folders on different topics and has an active game marketplace.

For information I use boardgamegeek or web grognards (Web-Grognards: the site for wargames on the web).  Isimulacrum has a decent database of information (iSimulacrum.com : Simulacrum on the web)

X,

If you are worried about bumping stuff over to a new page, why don't you include a quote of the relevant portion of the previous post? Or at least when it happens, just go back and edit your post to include a quote - then people don't have to jump back to the previous page to see what you are referring to.

Not a big deal to me - I just noticed that you mentioned it a few times...
The pages only hold 20 posts so its bound to happen from time to time.

Am pretty sure it is an original - the reprints state so in small(ish) print under the price on the cover - so it looks like a 1st print.

Further observations on Consimworld.  It says you need to pay dues to have posting rights, but I'm not sure that you do.  It was a voluntary subscription service that ran a couple years ago and I don't think it's implemented any more (could be wrong, it's a long time since I posted there).

The most useful forums for me are:

    Marketplace > Buy, Sell, Trade
Marketplace > Parts Looking for a Home
Game Company Support Forum > Memory Lane
Boardgaming >  Individual Game or Series Discussion
Generally speaking there's a good level of discussion, although some of the discussions in the Game Company Support Forum for current game publishers like Avalanche and GMT can get a bit heated.

For the record, there isn't much rpg discussion, although items sometimes come up (rarely) in the marketplace.

I often do not worry about quoting when a response of mine will obviously be referring to the post directly above. In this case, though, despite the late hour, another post got between the original thought and the response, causing the latter to make no sense at all.

And I'm not really "worried" about starting new pages — I was just sharing what I thought was a string of eerie coincidences. In fact, I think it's sort of funny; obviously, I didn't make my point clearly (maybe I should have stuck on some laughy icons). For the record: I don't give a sh*t where my posts end up on a given page.

Two different 2nd Edition Call of Cthulhu box sets:

cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem& ... T&rd=1

cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem& ... T&rd=1

Both sets look to be in pretty good condition. There are slight differences in each too, which is interesting.
