I couldn't help myself ... it just seemed to call to me. :)

"True Dungeon" is a convention thing, right? So is this like ... I give up. What the hell is it?

They say the chicks go wild for Track 12 "Lizardmen Advance"...it's better than Barry White and Kenny G rolled into one.  Some mood lighting, wine and this cd ought to get you a score you lucky devil...

Original 1973 Triplanetary.  5 days, 16 hrs.

Triplanetary GDW 1973 original version unpunched | eBay

Looks pretty cool.  I had no idea that there was more than one edition of this game.

Yeah, the first edition actually came in a mailing tube that also served as your "box" after you played.

The later "flat box" editions with the distinct GDW graphic design are also good eBay sellers (although much less rare). I just sold one, in fact — ka-CHING!

Steve Jackson Games owns the rights now, BTW — and has done nothing with them for years.

Seller has a fair bit of MERP items with BINs. All the higher end items have been absconded with at prices that were way too low. Only problem is low feedback and being in Sweden so shipping might be high...

Star Wars 1978: TV, Movie & Video Games | eBay

He describes the Little Wars as "The precursor to the Dragon". I thought
the Strategic Review/Previews had that honour?

Didn't Little Wars predate both the Strategic magazines? Not sure it is the precursor though. More as the further to the base of the trunk on the TSR family tree.

Great googly-moogly.   8O   I dont think I have ever seen anything quite so disturbing as that final price.  I am happy for red_bus but it makes me think that if this is a continuing trend that my MERP collecting days are pretty much over.  I only need a handful of items to complete my MERP collection and Grey Mountains is one of them.  It will be a cold day in Hell before I pay that much for one.

And paid $96 for Planes of Law:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 8798589641

And $94 for MERP Lake Town:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 8789504643

All of their 50 transactions have occurred in the past three months.  Maybe they won the lottery or just got one heck of a tax refund.

It's like the Perfect Storm. You get at least two guys willing to get insane bidding and drive the price up to heights never seen before or again.  There was so dude buying up SW stuff late last year and paying idiotic prices (King you know the one he was the guy who bought a SW MV1 for $60 or thereabouts).  I haven't seen him around for several months.  Intersting to see if this is an all time high or a trend.
