Interpret "average at best" as you will.

Compliments to the seller for a thorough reply and not playing-down any faults (I trust!).
I'm looking forward to seeing whether that's enough to stop anyone in their tracks, or not... :P
Could you please add cover prices/colors to your auction description for the early issues. I can see #1 is a reprint, but not the others.
Also, a general note re. condition, inscriptions and completeness would be much appreciated, I'm sure. :)

None of the issues have any pieces missing though quite a few have light marks from water spotting. The ones I've graded as G as in general a bit musty.

Also I've just quickly flicked through the zines so I might have missed some additional pencil. In general the pencil I saw wasn't very extensiv - just a few numbers in the margins (e.g. hit point tallys).

Well, Elmore is certainly no starving artist then.   :D
As faro says, it would be even cooler with a custom paint job...

Hells Bells.... somehow IFW escaped by weekly search pattern and I missed these. I log in to the Acaeum today and see Allan's post - I rush over to ebay to put in a huge snipe - and am too late, by about 20 minutes.

Nice pickup, David....

Guess that says a lot about the number of lurkers over here. :)

(Those copies were "hidden in plain sight", amongst the other SF books..).

Yeah, thanks for posting those.  Now I know I can just pay the seller for the Avalon Hill Elric boardgame I won from him and move on....no more need to worry about combined shipping.  :x

Oh, and thanks for mentioning the Hawkmoon listing as well.

Hmm... is it not OK to post one's own items on the board, or am I missing something?

(Could have sworn I had a bid in on that Complete Warlock, too... *checks*... oh well, maybe not... :?)

Kind of hard to get upset at a man for advertising his own auctions I would hope.   8O All of them still went fairly cheap.

As to the Hawkmoon I posted it because there had been some discussion on here so I wanted to make sure it got noticed. I will try to not post anything where I recognize a bidder as being a forum member. So from now on if anyone here has mentioned anthing should we not point it out. If that is the case I would suggest we do away with the Interesting Items threads entirely because at any given time everything is an item of interest by someone on the forum.

I'm just fooling around, Marlith.  :D

No way do I have the power/desire to win on that Warlock publication.

But I did just finish corresponding with the seller, delaying my payment so I could lurk on some of his items.   :D

I also had no idea that Morgansurname was the seller.   8)   Really.

I already have a Hawkmoon.  I was chagrined that the British/American exchange rate did not work out exactly as I calculated.   :x   I had lurked the Hawkmoon auctions for some weeks without seeing an American copy listed for anything below $40.00.  This one is a better deal.   :x

My goal with that particular line is to collect one of each and then write them up in a clear and sensible way...possibly for the Acaeum or a similar collector's website.  It's a reachable goal for a smaller, niche collector like me.  I think we ought to be writing this stuff down as much as possible.

Don't ever get upset about what I say on a thread like this.  I'm not clever enough for double meanings.  I like the fun of competing over game stuff.  Even getting sniped down at the last moment is kind of fun...and free!
