ok; I am going to work this out--that's right, no-reprint Bill is going to do an unlimited edition. I'll work out the specifics in the next few days. I do promise that a) the first edition willl indeed be unique and still collectable, and b) the 1000+ people who could not get the content will get it.

This wil likely involve a minor change tgo the cover to indicate "unlimited Edition" or something like that.

I don't do this--I am respectful of the collector's market--that being said, I feel like I am hosing all the folks who could not get it in the 12 hours it was on sale today if I don't--and that's just bad customer service.

I thought about a softcover--but its just too big to do that.

I'll work up the details tomorrow and let everyone know. I still have about 50 copies of the SW version (500 copies only) that will be for sale starting 9/26.

I am still in shock...so let me gather my wits. I can't tell you how scary it was to write that personal check for printing. Keep in mind its me; not a big corporation. I was hanging wayyyyy out there on this one.

Good to see some excitement in this industry, lots of poeple are freaked out over on the Paizo boards  :)

Anyway I am going to get a second print as well, I wouldn't want to actually use the first print

Those Pathfinder Tomes are around $100,000 worth of merchandise. Sold out in pre-orders and in 12 hours of online sales. That's what I call cooking with steam.

Is there a preview available for the S&W pdf, to see a few pages before buying?

Yes, congrats Bill!  I have a lot of respect for someone that puts their ass on the line like that.

There's one on RPGnow, but it's filled with table of contents before it gets to any monsters. I will email Chuck and see if we can create a 2-3 page preview, because several people have asked this question.

EDIT: email sent to Chuck (layout); he's busy, so it might not be immediate. I don't have the technology to copy pages out of it or I'd post one myself.
