As mentioned in the fun finds thread, I recently picked up a shrink-wrapped copy of Catapult Run (2nd print).

Can anybody corroborate whether this was originally sold shrink-wrapped? Anybody have current contact info for any of the Fantasy Factory folks who might know?

Ultimately I want a reading copy, so I'll happily remove the shrink if I can comfortably convince myself that it's an aftermarket shrink-wrapping job. But if this was factory shrinked, I'd prefer not to open it...

My copy came to me practically mint with no evidence of ever having been read. I suspect the shrink is something placed on the product prior to distribution, but not by the publisher, as with the TLG CZ boxed sets, but that's just an impression I have of small press works of the time.

Maybe someone here may have managed to track down one of the authors. Mars? But other than that, yours is the first copy I know of in shrink, so maybe if any of our more reclusive collectors have seen a copy in shrink, we may get a PM or a message.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

Hello,

The 2nd printing of Catapult Run was shrink-wrapped at the printing house before it was sent out for distribution.

best regards

Chris Abbott

P.S. sorry for the lateness of this response
