Color Pawns?

Not mini's I'm guessing. Any idea what these are?

Good idea for Pathfinder though, their normal rulebook seems pretty massive for beginners.

Since the "pawns" are described as being four color, I must assume they are printed card pieces to be used in place of miniatures.

Does anyone own a copy of this?
It's the PF starter set.

if you look at the picture in that other thread, there's some pieces showing a monster held in a plastic foot. I'm guessing those are the pawns.

Yes, the pawns are cardboard cutouts posed on plastic bases.

Unboxing video:

I think I'm going to swing by the FLGS today and order one of these, I like the idea of it going all the way to level 5 before you really need the hardcover rule book.  Apparently they're leaving out some of the additional rules (for combat) in the basic version as well which makes it even mroe attractive to me.

The release date for

Pathfinder

appears to still be Oct 26th (Wednesday)

Have any of you heard differently?

And re-posting the video in case you haven't seen it ...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KPv80QsBfI&feature=player_embedded

God knows whether I'll ever get to play it.
But, damn, these Paizo folks really know how to make an RPG.

I love reading their material.
