I saw this kickstarter project at Grognardia and thought it looked pretty cool:

I'm trying to learn a little bit more about kickstarter in general and this project specifically, but it seems pretty cool.

I agree!  I'm supporting this, given my irrational love of geomorphs :D

The second set of dice is funded, FYI:  there will be a set of dungeon geos dice as well as a set of caverns goes dice.  If they get sufficient funding ($17K, which is about another $2500 or so atm), then they'll produce a third set of geos dice (dungeons again).   There are only 11 days left, however, before the funding is closed.

So, this is worth supporting if you're a geos fan, and you haven't checked it out yet :D

I wanted to note that the design changed (with five days remaining...), to the extent that I don't care for it anymore, and even canceled my pledge.  I hope lots of people still like the project, but I wanted to let everyone know about the design change, in case they haven't checked in.

I didn't pledge, but I actually find the new design easier to read. Plus, it's likely less expensive to manufacture.

One thing that I always thought should have been done with today's technology is to take TSR's dungeon geomorphs and make a software application out of them. And then I realize that while it would be cool, there are already random dungeon generators out in the wild.

These dice are like my idea. Cool, but not really necessary.

My order arrived today, and the dice look marvellous :D

There are some minor imperfections in the manufacturing where ink didn't take on the dice, or where some of the engravings ran together, for example, but nothing that isn't fixable with some careful inking, I think.

I'm pleased as punch with them! :D  If you ordered a set, they should be arriving this week (North America), or probably next week (rest of world), per Joe's latest updates.  If you didn't order a set, you can do so at http://www.dungeonmorphs.com/ (although the Adventurer Set is out of stock for another couple of weeks until the first reorder arrives).

Hey Allan,

Thanks for the pictures of the dice. Course I'm really envious of the autographed Upper Works you put underneath the dice... :P

Best regards,
Ronald

Very nice. Does it look like these will show up in game stores?

How about a putting these designs on a Rubik's Cube? You could produce a sheet of sticker paper with the designs printed on it; customers peel off the stickers & place them on their own cubes (to avoid having to obtain & re-package cubes yourselves). The stickers could be sold for customizing anything the customer wishes (to avoid licensing fees).
