Here is a quick list of some of the rarer Goodman Games Modules.  Most of the rare ones are not d20 (3.0/3.5).  The d20 modules are usually quite common.

You could add DCC#0: Legends are Made, Not Born for Dundracon 2004 as well.

DCC #3.5 is the gem IMHO

The list is a little erroneous. Some are more valuable (rare) than others. For example, the #C9 is worth peanuts with the T&T or NTRPG logos on them, as is Saga of the Rat King with the NKG Logo (I wouldn't describe any of these as rare); but Haunted Lighthouse is up in the $200+ bracket, and don't forget #20.5 Mask of death

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

The first "special" version of C9 that I recall seeing was the one with the Dundracon logo.  I do recall a few people from here paying 60 bucks or more for that one when copies of it hit Ebay.  I wonder how many of those were printed up versus the other versions?

I had to leave some of them for fellow members add and/or comment on :)

Shouldn't have missed the 20.5 and 0 though.

Are there multiple versions of DCC #0?

Perhaps, is there one with a tournament logo that makes it rarer?

There are only two printings of DCC #0:  The first print has the lasso logo  and the second print, Rhonda the Rhinoceratop.  The colour of the covers is  slightly different.

Best,

This is an interesting one.  Shortly after the big the GG selloff (when they moved to 4e products), these boxes were in some demand.  Prices soared to up around $200.  Then the market got flooded.  It seems like the saturation is now over and these sets are harder to find again.

The hype is probably not the same now but I wouldn't be surprised if this one started to gain a bit again.  Even Castle Whiterock prices have been going up.  NK is now selling them for $80 and have only 7 left in stock.

At that price, yes.  Anything 3.5 is getting more difficult to find new in stores.

I have seen game stores in the Oregon RPG market where many Goodman modules are sitting on the shelves at cover price, including the DCC 35 boxed set.

There was an interesting item some days ago, here is the link :

It seems that almost all the stuff was there, including the rares, the super rare, and some good additions for the completist, like My Friend the Formian (DCC# 4.5).

For some one who want the whole collection, why not... I think that the seller's evaluation was good... but there is a little chance that someone was looking for all modules.

I think the price for the lot is pretty high.  If you are counting up rares then (as ballpark figures):

$300 3.5
$100 17.5
$100 20.5
$100 30
$50 51
$50 35
$30 0
$30 12.5

That's $760.  The rest of mostly fodder.  Even paying $5 for each piece of fodder (say 60 items) brings the total to $1060.  I can see him getting his price if he sold everything individually, but generally if you are selling things as a lot you would expect a significant discount.  Maybe in this case $800 for the lot would be reasonble - pay top dollar for the rares and get the fodder for free.  Unless of course you can find that one person who wants it all.

For my point of view, shipping charges are more and more high (US-> France...!), it is a good opportunity to gather modules and save on shipping. You won't have many chances to find all the rares together. The $1200 included the shipping within the US.

So if you don't have any modules, okay $1200 is a bit high but $1000 would be fair. And $800 a good deal !  :)

But, as you said, there is a little chance that someone is looking for all modules...
