Yes, I was looking at some of the Wizard's event lists and stuff like that to see what stores are around.

It is definitely less expensive than package mail (colissimo) but there is no tracking number (for me it is not a problem, on hundreds of items shipped overseas, I had no lost package, so why to pay more?). Over 3kg, we have to ship as package (which is very expensive, even economic package). There is no other cheapest method.

hehehe

Géraud, you should prepare your helmet to avoid lapidation from Acaeum members who bought items near you in the past few years PDT_Armataz_01_05

There is a small community in France, called "postal officers", who know how to ship PRINTED MATTERS ONLY (as in UK) from France to all over the world for a very very very very very cheap price 8O

But this shipping method is not stated on french post office flyers because "LA POSTE" is loosing money whenever it is used ...

Géraud,

Using this you can for example ship 20 packages weighing 2.5 Kg each to the U.S., and each of your 20 buyers will have to pay as S&H/P&P 6.18 € + your packaging charges.
It is up to you to try to find cheaper quotes for your buyers ;) hehehe

At your french post office, the sole thing to do to obtain quotes to ship your packages as "livres et brochures" is to do as UK sellers :
* simply write "LIVRES ET BROCHURES" USING BIG LETTERS on the package left corner at a 45° angle near the seller's address
* point it out to your postman with the deepest voice you are able to ... shout ;) If he refuses or states it doesn't exist, call the main post officer (he, as sweared to always tell the thruth )

He will surely answer "Grrrrrr !!!!!!" but has to respect your will to ship it this way.

Of course, this kind of packages is shipped exactly as U.S.P.S M-BAG / I.S.A.L. : "La Poste" states it is shipped as surface mail but usually it is done via Airmail ! It is not sorted Priority and takes usually 2 more weeks to arrive to our american or canadian friends instead of Priority Airmail 8)

BTW, all three kinds of M-BAGS in France may not be insured since 2009/03/02.

* let's go there : http://www.laposte.fr/courrierinternational/index.php?id=372&pdt_id=52#apTarifs

* click on the "Afficher les tarifs" link to obtain an idea of our FRENCH TOP SECRET quotes (area 1-2 is for Europe & North Africa , area 3-4-5-6 is for "all other countries")

AND ... WELCOME TO ALL OF OUR ACAEUM FRIENDS INTO OUR FRENCH EBAY STORES !!!!   :D

Signed,

"a french main post officer" ;)

BTW, in France M-BAG is also known to post officers as "International Economy # 2" or "third class mail" ;)
