Hi guys,

I received this today

** expired/removed eBay auction **

I looked to Heroic Worlds, and several website online, and I found that 3 editions exist:

- 1st ed. 1980, 64pp looseleaf, by Timeline ltd

- 2nd éd. 1980 revised, 64pp booklet by Timeline ltd

- 3rd ed. 1983 74pp booklet by Timeline ltd

This one was printed in 1980 in UK, includes a 66pp booklet and GM screen and Liberation at libertown (all these are listed in the content list)

The rulebook cover looks like the 1st ed. cover

So my guess is that it is a 2nd ed. but limited? Or the 2nd ed. UK edition? Or a limited first edition?

I am not a Morrow Project expert but I didn't find any information about this edition.

Thanks Brett!

Interesting mix they made with this 2nd ed. UK edition. The rulesbook have a  1st ed. cover and there is no mention anywhere that it is a 2nd ed. I will be interested to compare the interior pages with a 1st ed. and a 2nd ed. I don't know why there is 2 more pages in this ed. than in the 2 others (1st and 2nd ed).

I did not find any information on the web.

There are a few test/pre-publication sets around as well (loose leaved in binders).  I had one a few years back but sold it.  Great background for a post-apocalypse game!

I've seen a couple of these but never a boxed set.  Very cool!  Something else I need to look out for now.

What are the differences between the 1st ed.? Apparently the 1st ed. came looseleaved too. So how could we recognize a pre-pub edition? Same number of pages too? Is there a pre-pub of UK edition?

Going mostly by memory..

There were 100 pre-publications sold prior to the official publication to raise money, they were all loose leaf in a binder signed (think) and numbered (x/100). I have seen 3 sales of these in the last couple of years, last one slipped through quite cheeply if I also recall..

The boxed set was only produced in the UK, I'm sure when I won an auction the guy had up a short history of why this is so.. just check if the books are printed in the Uk and not just the box.. I had thought that the books were added to the box.. I have a note that it is the 2nd edition that this was done too, but I could be wrong.. I'm sure that they are exactly the same.. the 64/66 pages I think is the same just countng the cover (or not)..

The rulesbook was printed in UK and copyrighted 1980 under licence by Flying Buffalo

It have 66 numbered pages + 3 unnumbered pages + cover (so 72 pages total)

As for the supplement, Liberation at Riverton was printed in West Midlands too by Millington York Ltd.

I don't know for the screen as it is SW.

The list of contents (loose sheet) which is included states that it is a Limited Edition boxed set.

Now I have to find a pre-pub binder  :(
