I bought a copy of the Dark Dungeons retroclone RPG from Lulu using their 'free shipping' coupon  8)  (yes, times are that hard for Lulu too...) and it arrived here today. It seems really a retro clone Rules Cyclopedia (and there are Immortal rules too)! Did anybody buy it too? Thoughts?

I bought the hardback version. The Doré art is fantastic of course  :P, the author could credit him albeit I guess he won't mind  :wink:

It is the last day for this "free shipping" coupon.

I grabbed the free pdf (I just don't do enough with BECMI to need a hard copy), and it looks pretty good.


Areas of interest/knowledge: Harn, WFRP, Ars Magica, anything BRP based such as CoC, Runequest, Pendragon and all their related games

I got a copy about a week ago.  I like it.  It's a streamlined retroclone version of the RC and it incorporates the alternate rules for demihuman levels beyond the standard level limits as standard.  It also adapted the combat ranks ideas to all character and racial classes.
