Anyone have a Tyme Of Darkness to trade so I can complete the set?   :D

The recent set I bought seems to have either a photocopied ToD in it, or one without the cover.  I haven't re-located my other WH boxed set to confirm one way or the other....

No. At least, not the RPG section. Now, if I were into comics / manga, MtG or miniatures / Warhammer... then sure, it might be a bigger store for my tastes.

Anyway, it was nice to go inside to look. Oh, and I have no idea if they're on eBay... really don't check or care.

Please follow the link to the e-Bay listing for my most recent   FUN FIND.

The package arrived this afternoon and one thing I am certain of is this; at just $51.01 all in (FREE SHIPPING) I got a very nice deal there.

I have now finished counting all the cards and compairing them with my other sets and the Judges Guild Subweb listings; I am now certain that the contents of that listing included two sets of the Dungeon Tac Cards:

1) One (Confirmed) Complete First Print of the Dungeon Tac Cards.

2) One (Confirmed) Second Print of the Dungeon Tac Cards.

This one has a complete card count, but missing the white product sheet.

Extras:

1) Another partial First Print set of the Dungeon Tac Cards (rough count missing about 30 cards and the white product sheet).

2) There are also 23 Character Chronicle Cards all of them are filled out in pencil.

Anyone know the buyer? I'd like to compare notes.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

I hesitated to bid high but finally decided to put a low bid since I had never  heard about this. What's this?

Hey Gnat,

Nicely done! I think that was the auction that we were discussing about on the Judges Guild board. I really wanted to bid on it but the shipping to Hong Kong was just outrageous... :(

Best regards,
Ronald

It was one of the first dice generated dungeon systems for OD&D. There were a few 'zines that were published by this gaming group also. Pretty rare and esoteric stuff. Not for most collectors.

Thanks Ronald.

Now that I have two copies of each of the first two printings of the Dungeon Tac Cards; I plan to sell one set of each printing (1st and 2nd prints).
Both sets are complete other than missing the white product card.

I haven't posted here in a bit, glad to finally have chased these down (super-nice condition!)

I wonder if I'm the only one here who began their small press collections using this site as a 'checklist' :)

Afterglow is excellent. As ToT, and a few other sites like these ones.

** expired/removed eBay auction **

Of course I do not have it yet, in fact I only hit the BIN and paid a few moments ago.

But I simply could not resist listing it here.

I have been looking for a complete Package of this Judges Guild Playing Aid for YEARS.

Once I saw the listing and read the description, it took me about 3 more seconds to hit the BIN.

Despite what might seem to be too high a price paid for this, to me this was a FUN FIND!

I think a complete 1st print CSIO Playing Aid is VERY rare and though I have no data to support the following statement; I feel like it is much more rare than the mid ranged (3) rarity that the JG pages indicate.

Over the last few years, I have collected bits and pieces of it here and there, but had never even seen a complete package all together in one place for sale before.

I have seen more OD&D Wood Grain Box Sets than this item.

Not saying it has not been there to find, just that I have not seen it.

Not sure, but I think the seller is also an Acaeum member...  8)

It looks like he got the Authentic Thaumaturgy picture is listed by mistake - the auction is only for the CSIO.   Not sure what these generally sell for but if your happy then great - I have been overpaying for items I really wanted lately too.

Good to have the original heavy gauge bag as would be a pink mailing card, if present.

Thanks, and yeah, I noted that picture as well.
The same Authentic Thaumaturgy picture is the 3rd picture posted in that sellers Fantasy Trip listing too.

As for the price?
Like you, I do not mind overpaying for it (if I did) as I had been (more or less) consistantly searching for it for several years.
I have no idea what the going price should be as I have no guide or history, other than what is posted on the JG pages.
As I said, I had never even seen that item offered at all.

FARO: Yes, the bag is nice, and this one not only includes the bag, but the red sticker is also on the bag, so there can be little doubt that it is the original bag.
Without that Bag (and Sticker) I would not have hit the BIN...
We do not know for certain yet that the pink card was included in that Playing Aid package.

It was, at least in some, but may have been included elsewhere, too. Tim Kask's review copy had a pink card. If you know there's a red sticker on the bag, the mailing card - if present - probably won't be pink since the earliest bags didn't have those red stickers. Confusing, eh?
