I just love finding those really cheap BIN's right after the seller lists them.  You just know the seller is thinking to himself "Damn that sure sold fast.  I probably could have sold it for twice that amount!"

Not me... sadly. $15 for Weapons Compendium is more than a fun find, it is a huge find. IIRC, the last one sold for something in the $100-150 range.

You thought $122 would be enough?  I was under the impression that these normally topped out around $200.  I guess the stain on the cover was more of a factor than I thought.



And yes, the person who won it is an Acaeum member.  A bit surprised though since I thought he already had a copy.  Maybe he bought it for someone else?

Neither one of these items were listed in the "Interesting Items" thread.  If they had been, I think at least Starstone might have pulled in a higher price.  It is always coming up on people's wishlists.  If I had known about it I would have bid on it just to see if I could get a nicer copy than the one I have.

I toyed about with the idea of tossing in a bid of about $160 (I came in fourth with my token bid of 88 bucks) but decided not to after buying a few of Al's items and finding another auction for something I want more than a Valla.

I was the winning bidder on the Tombs of Valla.    Given how seldom it comes up on eBay, I am pretty happy with the price.  I also picked up the Carnival in Windermere, but was outbid on the Bavenlon (which nevertheless went to a good Acaeum home).

And King is correct, this is my second Tombs of Valla . . . but I needed a second copy.  Why?  Stay tuned . . . more may be revealed in time . . . .

Now, if anyone happens to have a City of Valla lying around, PM me, and I'll make an offer so I can complete the set.

Sigh . . .  No, I need a Notnaidag Robber Headquarters as well.  And now that I know there are two prints . . . no . . . must resist . . .    But if you do have an extra Notnaidag, Mark, let me know.  

As far as I know, there is only one print of Tombs.  The one I have doesn't indicate any printing, at least.  I'll post if the one I just picked up is any different.

It's a really sweet item and a gap in most collector's inventory. Very hard to track down. It was one of my favourites.
