Someone purchased a copy of one of the books on Amazon for 3.99.  He gave it two stars and stated even at that price he overpaid!  Lol.  With a glowing review like that, where can I get a copy?  Currently the three core books are on ebay for $249.  As tempting as that is, I think I gotta let it go...

Cheers!

While traveling in Florence Italy last month I found a copy of Il faro abbandonato/Mistero sotto il mare (The abandoned lighthouse/Mystery under the sea) by Alessandro Ivanoff in a shop. I had never heard of this and was able to find and google translate a great interview with Ivanoff about Das Production. This is their first product and they went on to publish Car Wars, Vampires the Masquerade, GURPS, Paranoia and Ars Magica in Italy.
"It was a module that collected the two stories used for the first Florentine D&D tournament for Agonistika (we are talking about 1988). That operation was well received by the public, because the circulation (five hundred copies) was sold out in a very short time."
If anyone has any more info I'd love to hear it.

I recently purchased a box of goodies I’m not too familiar with. Any info would be great.

Heroes is a cool UK game from the 1980s (actually 1979 I think). I was in touch with the guy who created it a while back and he did a reprint not so long ago. But the first printing is nicer by far. Also there should be a large fold-out map available. It aims to include much more "authentic" early middle-ages life and economy. Unfortunately that makes it tough to play, but as an example of the diversity of first generation roleplaying games it is excellent.

Oh, also, I found this he has a website. https://www.ecwrpg.co.uk/

I have Swords & Dragons, but I forget the details of the game. I used to have Heroes, but again, can't remember much about it. I am sure it is fairly rare.

If you hit a Rowsdower, you get to keep it.

Is Swords & Dragons an RPG or is it a computer game or PBM game? I'm not familiar with it and there aren't too many actual RPG's I'm not familiar with so I'm interested to know what it is. And what copyright year it has listed (as I'm off the hook after 2003)? Thanks Mike. If you have any questions about any of the other items I'm happy to answer them. There were 4 issues of Gryphon by the way. FASA also printed The Book of Mars (which has a white cardstock cover).

Maybe this is it?

Swords & Dragons | Board Game | BoardGameGeek

It looks like a card game that came out in 2000, by Emperors Choice Games.  Supposedly based on the Arduin Role-Playing system.

There’s a deck of cards that goes with the book:

I draw the line at collecting... D&D beach towels.

Shoulda been: ".. from Pangreenia to Floratopolis, from mystical Treeonia of spectral Forests to Schruborial dimensions." - The Forests of Leng

Thanks all,

I’ve been going through these as my time permits. Thanks for the links and info.
So far:

Magic realm is only missing a couple counters and five or six cards out of hundreds.
Blue max is only missing one counter
Trollpak is complete
Worlds of wonder is missing one of the main booklets.
Runequest is complete and has the Viking and Coliseum expansions also
Swords and Dragons is complete. It is a card game. I’ll check the date tonight.
Heroes is missing the map
I’m looking for issue 4 of Gryphon now.

The rest I’m still working on.

What do you think of Magic Realm? It looks really interesting to me.

Very happy with this finding:

** expired/removed eBay auction **

I have never seen it before... it has interesting contents (i can post a pic of the TOC) and what is weird is that it has no number of issue, it seems to be kindof single issue... does anybody know more about it?
