It seems like we're in a constant coupon state these days.  Which isn't a bad thing, of course, but it always makes me wonder what the point is - just lower prices!

When Lulu spend the majority of their time offering 'discounts' it goes to show just how over priced their service realy is.

In the UK we have a sofa supermarket called DFS that has never in its entire history had a period when everything wasn't on sale. Everyone knows if you buy something you can get atleast 30% discount and you can negotiate often down to about 60% off everything they sell. Lulu are fast becoming this sort of business.

If you ever pay full price for anything at Lulu you either need your head examined or you were very desperate.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

I agree, was thinking the same thing this morning.. 20% seems very common, I don't think I would buy anything unless it had at least 20% off through Lulu..

Lulu code for free shipping that works in Canada:

GROUNDCA305

Works out to about a 75% discount :)

I draw the line at collecting... D&D beach towels.

Well, I've been pretty quick to criticize Lulu in the past for very high shipping costs to Canada... fair is fair, I've just had a fantastic experience and want to share:

Using the free shipping code :), I placed my order Sunday... Monday I rec'd the order confirmation email, Tuesday rec'd the shipping confirmation email, and Wednesday morning the package arrived on my doorstep  8O   The books made it a thousand miles and through Customs in something less than 24 hours!

Easily as impressive, this is how they were packed (inside a box of course):

Book tucked inside bubble wrapped, shrinkwrapped to a large piece of cardboard, and tucked snuggly inside a heavy cardboard box.  I couldn't ask anything more...

Indeed, they switched to that much improved packaging method a while ago.  Much better results with my orders of late!
