For the life of me, I used to own an early edition Palladium RPG book in the early-to-mid 1980's, but I can't find the cover anywhere online.

It's NOT either of these:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palladium_Fantasy_Role-Playing_Game
http://www.palladiumbooks.com/Merchant2/catalog/images/2514.jpg

It was the core rulebook - not a sourcebook or supplement.

It had a nicely painted cover - but I can't remember of WHAT?  It definitely wasn't the jet black cover with red writing..

Can anyone point me to a complete listing of Palladium RPG covers, or does anyone know of an early edition cover that looked different from these?

George

Do you think about the revised color cover edition?

released in 1990

The black and red cover in 1988.

There is a previous edition in 1983.

When you say "Palladium RPG" do you mean the Palladium Role-Playing Game, later renamed the Palladium Fantasy Role-Playing Game, or just that it was a roleplaying game put out by Palladium?

Sorry, I mean the Palladium Fantasy RPG.

Lokiwookie - nope, not that one.

Maybe I'm just imagining this..

Maybe it's some of the hallucinogens I ingested in high school in San Francisco  :o

I have a different version of this cover.  It is an all black cover with red writing and illustration.  The illustration is the same, but it is much larger and takes up about half of the cover.  The one I have is the 1984 Revised Edition (2nd Printing) of "The Palladium Role-Playing Game."

I could scan it for you, if you wanted, but it sounds like you already said it isn't a black cover with red lettering.  I honestly don't know what the printing before mine looks like, bit maybe that is the one you are seeking.  (I can't find a pic of it online, either.)

I found this cover on eBay, though.  This is likely a newer printing than my copy:

Thank you Kat!  But sadly, this cover doesn't look familiar.  I thought there was one that had a similar cover art style  as "The Old Ones" Palladium book.  I.e., the cover looked like it might have been done by the same artist as this one:

Or, I'm just getting old.

The more I research it, the more I must be mistaken.  My memory has gotten the best of me.

I must have had the black/red cover, because I know I got the book in '83/'84 time frame.

Thanks anyway!

It is the same, the url given is for a t-shirt on the Palladium website, with the illustration being in the top corner of the T-Shirt :)

Ah, yes!  :D  That's the cover I have.  Good find... I couldn't find it anywhere online, for some reason.

Anyway, I'm glad you figured it out.  :)
