I have so much stuff that is extra it is overwhelming, it is getting sorted though :D

it took me about two straight years of work to get everything organized in to singles, doubles etc. i'd start at 10 pm & finish up at 1 or 2 in the am. somewhere i have this great photo of everything laid out in my old basement before i started and it looks like the indiana jones warehouse with box upon boxed stacked every which way. but now it's all organized. you can get there Jeff!

I never realized so many people played B/X. I went from Holmes straight to AD&D.

I for one interchanged B/X with AD&D (at least the modules anyway). It didn't require that much conversion...

RPG’s, D&D in particular has had a major influence in my life. It’s bonded me together with life long friends...it’s that bond in life not just as friends, but in our jokes, our mannerisms, and what we find funny. Invincible Overlord

I went to buy a copy of the Holmes book I had learned the game from, but by that time (1982) it had been replaced by B/X on the Toys R Us shelves. Come to think of it, maybe that's why the idea of of old-school D&D became appealing -I've been trying to regain the lost magic, torn from me by pitiless consumer-marketing cycles. I would like to ask permission to use one of your photos in a short non-profit video entitled "A Place Like No Other".  The video was made by a 19 year old with Asperger's Syndrome and will be entered in the Adobe Youth Voices Competition.  The video will also be used by the non-profit for conceptual and fundraising purposes.

Thanks for your help with this.  ShellyQ

Thanks!

I could never sleep under a 3rd edition logo. I'd have nightmares.

Everything is holding up just fine. The only changes have been to the contents of the room(bought and sold many items over the years.
