I wondered if you might be the same guy as the Ebay Coug-bloger.

Coug has to be smarting from all the negative attention he has earned.  He responds to any stimulus like he has been shot.

Welcome to the Forum! Good deal on the soccer card trade for D&D items, because everyone knows soccer sucks and D&D rules! You might have ended up headbutting your buddies instead of rolling dice with them!

The one and the same... The guy is a complete PRAWN.

He has had one small victory though... Here is a copy of the EBay Email. I guess he really took exception to this...

His use of written English, comprehension & Spelling is about the level of 9 or 10 year old and yes - that is a professional opinion....

I was unaware of his suspected postage scams but for me, if he is guilty,  that puts him even further down the chain of evolution than I thought.

Anyway - good to meet you all and hopefully most of my further posts will be unrelated to Mr cougarrinard

Hi Everyone.

My name is Jeremy. I am 37. I played when I was younger but not for about 20 years now. I have been collecting for about 6 years. I have just over 400 pieces in my collection: TSR, MERP, Judges Guild, Avalon Hill, and a few more obscure ones. I have been visiting TheAcaeum for most of the time I have been collecting and must compliment the people that make this the best RPG collectors site on the web.

I have only just discovered these boards and recognise many of the names as people I have interacted with and purchased from on Ebay. Great to see such a positive, vibrant RPG fan community.

I have young kids that are just starting to get interested in Role Playing so may be able to start playing again soon!

Thanks!

My Ebay username is a not very creative 'jedemi', which is simply the first two letters of my first, middle and last name.

I am on sabbatical at the moment in the early part of a PhD, so I won't have too much time to read up and post here until I get on top of it.

Collecting RPGs though, really has turned into a great hobby for me. I was sitting down thinking if I really had the money what I would want to do as a profession and it would have to be a second hand hobby and game store and working on a Collector's catalogue for RPGs (like stamp catalogues).

Hello there!  I seem to be one of the "old guys" here--I turned 44 last month!  Name:  Melvin. Age: 44.  Got introduced to D&D in high school in 1978, played til 1982, collected until the early '90's (not by choice did I quit), got back in on the 30th anniversary game in 2004, and have been trying to buy back the old modules.  [and find new ones].

"Buy back?"?  Yep--about 10 years ago, my sister gave--yes GAVE--almost all of my stuff to goodwill   (included:  1978 [blue cover] rules, an original H1 Bloodstone Pass, all of the A's, B's, C's, G1/2/3, Q1, Basic and Expert Rules, WG4, and nearly a hundred more . . . but NOT T1 The Village of Hommlet!).  When I related this to the fellow players at the 30th anniversary game, they said almost in unison, "And you let her LIVE?"  I said I had no choice;  otherwise I faced double divine retribution ("99" or "00" on 2d20, depending on the game) . . . my mom and dad  !!!

Other interests:  World War I and II, sports, card/board/video/arcade games, sci-fi (Star Trek, Star Wars, Babylon 5, etc.), bowling, my high school class (I seem to be becoming an unofficial class historian), Coca-Cola items, owls.  Work at a bowling center; also played steel darts and help out with the local league. (I am one of about ten 'lifetime members' in my league; it's the equivalent of retiring a uniform number.)

I prefer the old 1st/2nd edition D&D/AD&D to v3.5; far fewer rules and more modules, particularly those modules that are coded (i.e. A1, T1, etc.), as well as Dungeon Crawl Classics.

   Didn't want to go on too long . . . . .
