Killjoy, I think it will happen. I follow rare RPG items since some years now, and I found this site an invaluable help. So, thanks for the welcome!

Well, gaming communities seem to have "six degrees of Kevin Bacon" thing going on. :)

When you get out here, if you'd like to try to get together sometime, let me know. If schedules permit, we could meet at one of the local shops.

That'd be cool, as that Gator place you mentioned sounds good.

I need to free up some time.  What's the weather like in June?

Six degrees?

Nah - I reckon it can't be much more than 2 degrees.

Touche stedman,

It's amazing to travel 1,000 miles to a convention and bump into people from down the road in your home town. :)

Wow, I just realized that there were 38 new members to this forum just in February alone. That is a 10% increase in forum membership in just one month.  That is incredible.  Welcome all  :D  :D  :D

Yes, I'm one of those, but I had visited a number of times in Dec and Jan.

Hi, all!

I stumbled across this forum while evaluating some old games I'm looking to sell.  What a wealth of information!  I've been gaming, mostly SPI and AH games, since the early '70s, when I was in high school, and played D&D almost from the onset in '74-'75.

I own a Second Printing woodgrain box set, a true first edition Greyhawk, Chainmail, 3rd edition, White Bear & Red Moon, Empire of the Petal Throne, and some others.

Unfortunately, I have a daughter going to college next fall and I will have a tuition bill coming up.

Nice to have you aboard the ship, Danz. And well, I guess a lot of people will be very happy to help you part from your beloved antiques for a generous sum of money to help cover the tuition fees ...

Welcome, DanZ.

Be sure to check out the thread on most memorable D&D moments.  It would be interesting to hear how that woodgrain set was used! :D

I can't believe it! 8O Are you Francesco Rivoira? The one that followed the old staff after the first five (six?) issues of Rune magazine?

Yes Ciro, this is a little world after all  :P

The Rune magazine went bust as we were preparing a very cool number 13 - about demons. I myself designed the cover - and it's still in electronic format on my Mac.
