Hello Everyone,
My name is Dan and I've been gaming since around 1980 and started with the basic DnD set (blue lid, hobbits inside) and have been gaming ever since.
While over the decades I have accumulated a number of items, I now realize that I have lost/sold/given away tons of things I could have sworn I still had.  So I decided it's time to start replacing them.
I had the pleasure to meet many of you at the Acaeum dinner @gencon this year and honestly it was probably that encounter with you all that got me to buckle down and sign up/in to the site.
I feel like I have met many kindred souls already, and look forward to meeting more in this adventure of collecting.

-Dan

Welcome!

I have yet to make it to GenCon but hopefully I'll meet in person there one day.  :)

Good luck with the hunting!

Ahoy!

Lightfoot [FD] here...long time AD&D collector and Acaeum lurker.

Saw that Grodog yet lives and people aren't fond of one particular "Noble Knight" so there were two reasons to join.

:D

Regardless, thanks for having me.

Welcome Lightfoot!
Grodog does indeed live here, and elsewhere - wherever he lays his helm he calls home.

Enjoy!

Good afternoon everyone, or morning or evening if you are from other parts of the world.

I'm Mike and i have been gaming via various forms since i borrowed a copy of The Warlock of Firetop mountain out of my Primary School's library and rolled my Strength. That was around 35 years ago. I primarily play board and card games these days, but in my journeys i often come across weird collections of RPG items in the bottom of boxes that i buy which i sell on to fund my collection of other games.

I probably own around 100 board and card games, have a collection of over 30,000 CCG cards from different games and maybe a current collection of 40-50 RPG manuals.

I have been making computer games for the last 20 years, and for 12 of those have been making RPG games in particular, so tend to enjoy reading rulesets in manuals even though i haven't got a chance to play them since i was at University. I've also learned some medieval swordfighting techniques in the past so i can really understand how combat works, for both fun and reference :).

Mike........

Welcome Gothnak!  You can come to the right place.  Large collections of games are appreciated and admired.  Feel free to post pictures of your stash so we can ooo and ahhh.

I took a stab at a joke about sword fighting, but it's not cutting edge and turns out it's just a riposte.  I guess I'm just not epee and feel parry bad about this.   O.K., I've had it up to the hilt with these puns.   :eye:

While I understand the thrust of your argument - I fail to see the point.
