Teague wrote in Introduce Yourself, Fellow Collectors:New to this place, though I found it a while ago when doing research for an article I was writing. Glad to finally be a member!I'm Teague Bohlen, a writer and professor of creative writing at the University of Colorado Denver. Wrote for Topless Robot a bunch (mostly geek-comedy lists), as well as a novel ("The Pull of the Earth") and a textbook ("The Snarktastic Guide to College Success") and am currently working on both a collection of flash fiction and a second novel. I started gaming back in the early 1980s, when I was 12 or so. A friend and I used to create characters to run through Keep on the Borderlands until they died. I think the first long-term character I had we ran through Tegel Manor (Judges' Guild!). I wish I remembered those characters' names, but I remember the times very well, and fondly. Started reading Dragon Magazine when it was numbered in the low-60s. Collected all I could after that, on and off. Still do, when I can.I'm here because the book "Playing at the World" was an amazing experience, and one I didn't want to come to a close! I'm fascinated by the history of the game, and heartened by the fact that there are clearly so many of us that are still slightly obsessed with it. :)Glad to meet y'all.

painted_klown wrote in Introduce Yourself, Fellow Collectors: I thought to myself this would be the perfect site to learn about the various printings, changes, etc made to these books over the years.
painted_klown wrote in Introduce Yourself, Fellow Collectors: I think trying to collect ALL 1E material would prove to be too costly/difficult for me, so getting all 5E makes more sense at this time.
