Well, since we're sharing wedding milestones - my 25th anniversary this July.

Also, 1) youngest turns 16 (driving), 2) middle child turns 18 and goes off to college, 3) oldest child pregnant, making my wife and I grandparents this year ... yeah, no big Cons for me this year, too busy, and too many expenses!  ;-)

This seems to be derailing the topic of the thread.  But my 25th anniversary is in July as well.  Must have been a popular year for role-players to marry.

There's some joke in here about role players and rolling in the hay playas, but I can only come up with rim shots.   :?

Congrats to you as well.

Just proves that there are some women out there that can put up with our addic, er... hobbies.  Although, if she compares me to any of the guys on Big Bang Theory one more time...  ;-)

Well, I've been married for 10. 25 years ago my concerns were more acne and puberty, oh and D&D PDT_Armataz_01_01

Hi All,

While some are mulling over my actual first post about an anomalous splat book, I thought I'd take a moment to stop over here and introduce myself.   I've only been officially 'collecting' for a relatively short amount of time,  but I have been involved in the hobby for better than 25 years.  A freak basement flood took a good portion of my materials a couple of years back, and I'm slowly piecing it all back together.  I love the talent and books coming out of the OSR...having NEW stuff to collect is sw33t.  My two oldest children have started playing, as well as my wife.  So, after years of never having enough players, I have created my own   8) .   I'm a fan of most good Sci-Fi and Fantasy, hardboiled and the occasional Western...not a fan of most TV.  Glad this site is here, you all are really doing the hobby a service.

Welcome TreeX!  Sorry to hear about the loss of your stuff, but hope the rebuilding goes well.  You have come to the right place! :)

Welcome to Acaeum TreeX!  It was interesting to see your misprinted Thief's Handbook - made that average book interesting.  ;-)

TreeX,

What kind of stuff did you lose in the flood.  I might be able to help with Dragon Magazines.  You can have my over #50 issues if you like.

Thanks Guys, I appreciate the welcome.  Prufrock, thanks for the offer, very generous of you.  The majority of what was lost consisted of my 1st Edition hardcovers along with my TimeLife Enchanted World set.  Of all the things not to have stored in a plastic tote!!  Bunch of other miscellaneous modules and stuff, too.  It's life, and I'm not losing sleep over it (anymore   ).

Hello!
I have been checking this site for printing info and price estimates for a few years now, so I figured I'd join the forums!  Life long D&D player (since 1980), with some gaps due to lack of fellow players.  I'm the old school guy in my current weekly group (rolling with the original 5 die set).  Life has put me in a spot where I can start recollecting the lost treasures of my youth.  I could kick myself for losing track of my old box sets etc...Most of it was lost to stupidity and focusing on new editions as they came out.

Cheers

Welcome!!

Plus, just dropping by in myself after a hiatus for a bit.  I've still been picking up a few pieces here and there but am just getting back into things again.  Life has kept me busy for a bit.   :)

Hello everyone:

Alex Kammer here. I am the director of Gamehole Con, an annual tabletop gaming Con held in Madison, WI. (www.gameholecon.con) Gamehole Con is named after The Gamehole, the name of my long standing gaming group and the location of my collection.

I am an avid collector of TSR things. I nearly have a complete collection.

I probably should have joined this site long ago as I have used it as a resource for years.

Anyway, thanks for having me and if I can ever help in any way, please let me know.

Alex
