I understand - you are obviously worried about getting mould on your collection...   Hmmm, that is a concern - 30,000 sq ft might be difficult to heat properly to keep the damp out.

Maybe we can get VanWie to buy it if we spread a rumor that there's a white box OCE buried on the grounds some where.

(Just kidding Dave!)

Well, if you can afford a medieval barony, you can probably also afford a full staff to attend to your every need.  Let me know if you win the auction and need a Majordomo in Charge of Collectibles Maintenance.
:P

*sigh* it is overpriced anyway - Scottish castles are ten a penny nowadays and it isn't a real one, it's a Victorian copy ( some might pick me up on definition of 'real' ) a bit like a fourth or fifth printing rather than a woodgrain.

(quite pleased with myself with that analogy btw).

Now you're talking!  We could sell it to US bidders several times over (just like London Bridge)

Jon, that was mean..... Besides, Burnie would just snipe it at the end. He doesn't have a Scottish OCE that I recall.

Nah.  I'll get the next one.  They don't take PayPal.

Well, I was hoping someone from the group would place the winning bid and have a big Acaeum get-together at the castle, but alas the final bid didn't meet the reserve.  Maybe the next castle... David's already said he'd bid if they took Paypal.

Not bad, just under $20 mil. Seller is a little weak in the feedback area. I hope he gets delivery confirmation.
