Okay, in the message thread about the Mono C2 I made an off-hand 'funny' comment about someone and I having the same wife based on their reaction to us buying D&D stuff.  Then 4 other people chimed in with surprisingly similar descriptions!

I want to see if there's a shocking trend amongst our collectible community.  Answer the poll below if you have a 'significant other' in your life.  MorF, Wife or Husband, Girl or BoyFriend... For purposes of the poll, all non-collector 'significant others' are termed 'Wives' for convenience. ;)

So far nearly 1/2 of the respondants (7/16) have blonde wives.

This is WAY above average.

Interesting? Sorta... but kind of funny.

I can check the calendar, but I believe mine will be a blonde next week.
I think an interesting poll would be asking how many wives SUPPORT RPG collecting. But we all know the answer to that one.

If  the carpet doesn't match the curtains it counts only if she agrees to mow the lawn.

Excellent philosophy, I agree. I will have her dye it or shave it.

This is pretty scary!  My wife is 5'7", blonde stem to stern, I sometimes find white-out on the computer screen, and she goes into a fit at the mere mention of anything to do with RPG's!

Maybe we can all thank Gary Gygax for putting all those hot blonde chicks in all the books we bought!   :!:

Just to bump this thread one last time.

This is really amazing.

52% of D&D collectors marry blondes!

and as we all know...
Blondes have more fun.
D&D Collecting is fun.
ergo
Blondes who marry D&D collectors have WAY more fun!

I don't see how anyone can challenge the scientific validity of this study.

All you single collectors out there should print out this thread and take it to bars with you... or your game club.  GUARANTEED chick magnet material.

Hmmm, no mention of the dress size of people's partners.  Let us look at the evidence:

what foodstuffs are associated with gamers?

how much physical exertion does playing a 10 hour game of D&D involve? (no, staying up late doesn't count )

D&D started in America (land of the large portion)

con Tshirts are almost always in XXXXXL

So if the gamers are a bit on the tubby side - how big are your significant others???

Dunno if I should break this news to my slim black girlfriend.

I could ask her to wear a wig.

Hang on, that sounds like a good idea anyway.  Like a new woman (depending on the viewing angle  8O ) everytime she gets a new wig.

A quick search for a suitable wig:

Euuuuughhhh!

It never ceases to amaze me what sort of weird shit you can sell on eBay.  And tempted as I am to search, I will resist the urge to prove that this might be correct in the literal sense.

I must be seeing things...

Did someone from England just make a crack about ugly women?

Let's look at the facts... England:

Questionable dental hygiene;

"More than three million people in the UK are so addicted to alcohol they cannot get through the day without a drink, research finds."  From the BBC - (I think this is due to jealousy of American women!)

http://www.royal.gov.uk/output/page412.asp  "It's a man, baby!"

Here's a looker - http://www.intriguing.com/mp/_pictures/ ... bikini.jpg

Is this a Royal? - Page not found

Not English, but close enough...  Yahoo! GeoCities: Get a web site with easy-to-use site building tools.

     :D

I feel that I must defend my country's honour.

England:

Natural dental hygene.  Yellow is my favourite colour.  And my mum always told me not to put bleach in my mouth.

Only 3 million?  Surely this must be just the drinkers under the age of 18.

It's a man, baby - The Royal family - if they're English, I'm a Chinaman.

Here's a looker - Too hairy.  Got to be from east Europe.  But if womens underwear is good enough for David Beckham...

Is this a Royal? - Fergie is perhaps one of the most attractive (and least foreign) of the Royals.

Not English, but close enough - I can't comment on this as my browser won't go there.  But judging by the title, it's some fat lardass.  And thankfully I can still call someone fat rather than circumferentically (is that a word?) challenged or whatever the latest PC facist dictionary tells me it should be.

Hope that doesn't cause too much offence.  But if it does try telling someone who cares.

Sorry, it's just the beer talking.

5 - 5 and blonde. Get this, she is second generation Italian! Her sister and brother are red heads. Funny thing is that I never dated a blonde before her... 8O   It's a strange world indeed.

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!
