(What was the BIN on Dragon #1, btw? ;))

Ah yes, I knew it was coming after I saw the first few Dragons come up because he advertised he would be selling it. :D Probably a bit high anyway, but I couldn't help myself even though I knew the last one went I beleive for $88.00.
As far as the BINs go, Dragon #1 was $399.99. 8O, Dragons 2-4 were $199.99 and Dragons 5-10 were $99.99. I am still looking to complete my Dragon collection.

I know.  I picture him as being in some subterranean lair 17 stories underground (not unlike Dan Akroyd at the beginning of Spies Like Us, on HBO this past weekend, vastly underrated  :D ), compulsively doing nothing but checking ebay.   8O  :D

Dungeon Geomorphs Set 2.  In shrinkwrap.  Although it had been carefully removed then replaced.  Looks original and has a $3 price sticker.

The UK Basic Rulebook in the lot was in even worse shape than I had feared, but it worked out in the end.  2nd from the left is a UK 1st PHB.

(And I finally am the proud owner of a B2! :))

Does anyone recognize those character sheets, though?  They're new to me.

I was too, but I saw Julia (and others) going for it.  I don't need multiples that badly... :)

Hi John -

If it's any consolation (I know all about the pain on getting outbid after being certain your snipe is plenty), the set will come round on ebay again. I was lucky enough to pickup a woodgrain TSR Tractics set for $12 last year - it helped that it was out here in Australia and I was the only bidder.

Harami can probably correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to recall a Guidon set on ebay earlier this year (or perhaps late last year) that went for about the same as your bid on this set. I think Stormber picked it up, or maybe Chromaticknight.

When you acquire the next set for $50, you'll be happy missing out on this one....

Regards

Mike

Very nice price.  I hope that was in US$.  AU$ would be an incredible price.

I would be very happy with $50 :D .  Although I never knew I wanted one until they were listed on this forum!    But that goes for a lot of the stuff I've bought :?

$120-140 sounds about right, IMHO; Guidon Games' Tractics by Reese & Tucker with Gygax

Paul's Guidon set I pushed to $140+, IIRC (as opposed to the $71 Mike guessed last time ;)).

I doubt a woodgrain set would go for as little as $50 in VG+ condition very often, since I've seen wargamers willing to bid well above that mark if they spot it.

*sigh*. And that's on top of your recent "miss" on the Cavaliers and Roundheads, too; http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 5237760573 (would have expected $50+, rather than $38 ).

And a fairly decent (and rare) "Fast Rules" which went for a sensible $21; http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 5236599670

Plus those other Guidon items which went higher. (Bit of a glut recently, but rather an exception and still only "one of each").

Was too lazy to place the snipe on the C&R.  And my hopeful snipe on the Fast Rules never made the final.

Wish I'd seen the Fast Rules that finished a few days ago; it would have gone for a bit more than $20 if I had.

I really should become more organised - I like to THINK I do regular ebay checks on a few key words, but when a Guidon auction finishes and I don't know about it, I guess I'm getting sloppy. Or perhaps I've just been distracted by the cricket...

Regards

Mike

John,

I picked up my woodgrain Tractics for $40.  I'm sure you'll get another shot.

Is it a 1st or 2nd printing?  i.e. is the rear cover blue or silver?

They look very familiar.  I think I might have used some in my playing days.  Could they be GW post TSR license?
