With shipping it became a little less attractive but still a pretty good deal I would have to think. Added bonus was that I got it and kept them away from everybodies favorite cat from that area of the world.

Yup, if they decide not to treat you, you can die in public.   :x

Heh. It's illegal for a hospital to refuse emergency service in both the US and Canada. Not sure about the UK, but probably there too.

Not terribly rare but I was rooting through the back room of a local charity shop (Many, many visits to all of the shops locally ensure that I can do this - some even phone me if they get stuff they think I might be interested in!!) when I came across a still sealed Dragon Magazine Archive - perfect condition and mine for the princely sum of £3.00!!

(as an aside the next shop had a well loved 2nd ed PH for £10 - I barely managed to resist the temptation!

Talking about "little things", couldn't get much smaller than $3 for a reasonable looking 3rd PHB; as was listed on the "interesting items" thread, IIRC.

(Need this to compare with the recently-discovered 3rd+ print).

Should make a bit of a dent in the previous stated increase on the Acaeum valuations page, too ($30 for VG)...

(Apologies, <Winterwords>, and thanks for the kind PM).

Nice looking win.  I had that and his MM on my watch list.  Nice to pick up both if he combines the P&P.  Still not that bad if he doesn't.  Didn't bother with a snipe as I thought there would be enough interest to take them over £5.

Arrived in the mail today after an anxious wait.

Condition listed as slight shelf wear but no marks evident and absolute mint condition (no marks, bends or creases, staples perfect etc). The SR (again mint condition) was a throw in  8O

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... B:AAQ:AU:1

And he had these lying around: Vol II - 7, 8 & 9 for an additional $12.00 (total)

Also picked up from the same seller:

Very, very happy!!   :D

Hi Brendon -

Man, that's a fantastic pickup. Now I see why you didn't need issues 1 & 3 on our deal from last week!

Regards
