$4.99 for Swords & Spells, despite being "valued" higher than both Blackmoor and G,DG&H;
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 5952846230

Is a consistent pattern in realisations, from what I've seen.

(They've still got a copy of The Emerald Tablet with precisely zero interest at the same price, though. BidPay rather than PayPal hurts, too...).

I haven't been watching that closely lately, but my guess is this one slipped through the cracks.  I certainly wouldn't value S&S higher than Blackmoor, maybe on par with G,DG&H.  The blurry picture might have hurt that auction as well.  They're all around $20-30, unless they are minty/early printings.

My perceived order of the supplments in terms of valuation:
    Blackmoor
    Eldritch/Greyhawk
    Gods, DemiGods, & Heroes.
    Swords & Spells

Was noted and offered around. No takers. Apologies for not thinking of you...

Interesting.

By way of comparison, here's the "first cut" list I put together at the end of last year to try to see where future auctions would fit along those lines.
(You may well be right about the non-first Blackmoors, btw).

Can already see a few figures a bit high or low, perhaps, but needed to start somewhere other than the unchanging figures published here.

btw. Frank didn't sell me his 2nd GK Greyhawk for $25 after all, btw... ;)

Chainmail 3rd edition, 2nd print (VG-EX); "list price" $25-30, realisation $73.

The last such went for a similar price some time ago, IIRC.
Wasn't at all surprised to see Paul as winner.

Didn't chase that hard, but left a test bid since I had an EX copy of Edgren's "Knights of the Round Table" pretty much wrapped up ($29 as it turned out).

Wow, that has to be the most expensive single miniature item I've ever seen sold.  That's even more than DCS's Grenadier Lizardman miniature.  Did someone on the board win that one?  The ones that get away... sigh.

The lizard went for about $350.00 I think (I bid on and lost that one).  The appeal of the giant is that is one of the first models put out for the Warhammer range, it is very rare and was very expensive to own in 1983.  Not many were produced and I have never seen one in the box.  Last time this mini went up for auction outside the box it went in the $1800.00 range, I just could not resist it at the buy it now price.

*sigh*. I remember that one and the original Imperial Dragon
Error 404 - Not found
sitting on the top shelf of the "Games Gallery" in Edinburgh, for years. No price tags...

Even the "tiny" Emperor Dragon I bought in the late 80s still cost me a small fortune.
Blanked out exactly how much in my brain. *g*. Wasn't really into minis, but I liked that.

Yep, sounds like you actually got a good deal there. Very nice box/label, too!

Well, usually I never post my auctions on this forum. But this one deserved to be posted:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... K:MEAFB:IT

It's a first printing (orange flyleaves) and the condition as indicated on the photo. :D

Yes, yes, very nice purchase there.  That is just the kind of thing you are looking for with a great low BIN and you are searching the back end(new today) listings.  :D

Not D&D, but a fun find nonetheless:

cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem& ... :EOAB:AU:6

One of the games put out by Fact & Fantasy games in the mid-seventies. They did a couple of LOTR games (Siege at Minas Tirith, Battle of Helms Deep) and also put out three games called the Warriors of the Green Planet trilogy. I have the other two, and just needed the first.

I'd been after a copy of the game for a couple of years... the last time I saw it up on ebay a few months ago I bid $60 but it wasn't enough. Seeing a $15 BIN about 45 minutes after it went up, I couldn't hit the BIN fast enough. And it looks like it has a copy of Mind War included as well.

It's just a shame to use up my one Fun Find so early in the year... I only get one per year it seems, unlike some others on here who seem to post finds with alarming regularity.

Regards

Mike
