I saw these, read the description, and said well $70 probably means $35 each. So why not try a snipe of $100 bucks. What the hay right. No one noticed or maybe they aren't worth a thing? Anyone know about these?

I'd be happy to answer any questions you have about these, invincible.  Noble Knight has a fair amount of the old CU stock, so they're not super-rare.

The Acaeum research about the City of Brass:

Page Not Found

Rob published a version of CoB in 2003 with Kenzer & Co. for their Hackmaster game, but they got someone else to finish his ms. while he was offline for 6+ month on disability from a multiple-fractures broken leg :-/  I have Rob's original ms., and it's substantially different from the version that Kenzer published :-/

If you're a fan of RJK's work, feel free to drop by his messageboards at http://pub175.ezboard.com/bpiedpiperpublishing and say hi---he's online daily, and is quite friendly =)

edit:  At GenCon, Crazy Egor was selling printed copies of the freebie City of Brass for about $5 each IIRC---they were printed straight from the Acaeum version, with the usual header/footers/etc. >-/  When I pointed this out to Rob, he went over and gave them an earful, and they pulled the copies.

I have never collected Dragons, but I have been waiting to get a good start.  I think this lot qualifies. At 50 cents an issue, I am feeling pretty good so far.

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

I'd buy that for a dollar!

Not a bad deal at all considering how crazy OCE's have been recently!

draco.

Normally I do bid on White box sets. In fact, at the time that one was going I was bidding on about four others....

Nice nab there.  :) The Supplements alone are going to get a higher price than you paid for the lot if sold separately.

Thanks Frank.  The first 2nd printing I've seen in 25 years.

OK, it's a bit rough.  But still a bargain.

I decided to take a shot at this lot of games. Well, they arrived...

...and I think I got a pretty good damn deal. Nearly everybox has extras, including other rpgs...DragonQuest, Car Wars, a nice copy of Swords & Spells, extra modules and the like. The Traveller stuff has loads of extras.

All the games are in great condition. The boxes show some wear, but the contents to each is nearly mint and unpunched. It was like opening Christmas presents :D

Nice catch bbarsh, I corresponded back and forth with the seller, but he didn't get back to me with details about the other TSR books (if any)---it looked like there were at least three, but I couldn't tell for sure from the photos....

Grodog: Yeah, he wasn't too informative with my quetions either.

I decided to gamble figuring I could dump a few of those things and make my money back. Squad Leader alone gets good money as do a few other items. Out of all that stuff, I only really wanted to grab the Gamma World.

I picked up a mixed lot of a MM, MMII, Dieties & Demis Cthulhu, MERP box set, Dragon Hunt (AH Box Game) and Wizards (AH box game) for around $25 a couple months ago. I kept the Dieties and resold the rest. I was just hoping to break even, at best. And then the Dragon Hunt sold for $24.50 and the Wizards for 36.65 and MERP for 22.50! The MMs went for $4 each in a lot.

Just goes to show you that I am pretty much clueless when it comes to boxed games and their worth. But they do see to hold better values than RPG books, in general.

Sigh    When I see such auctions with that hated provision (no International shipping) I wish I lived in the US (or that the US conquered Western Europe after WW II  8O ).

Just kidding!  :D

@Sotterraneo

Here is another one similar to that auction above:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 5937850653

Basically that guy sells his whole RPG collection (his GF told him they'd need the space for her shoe collection in the new appartment so he better sell his RPG stuff 8O ) and made little packages out of it, each having a weight between 1kg and 1.3 kg. But the content is unkown to him and the buyer. So its kind of a lottery on what you get :)

I bought two packages and the stuff that was in there ranged from old Dragon magazines to some very nice quality modules/accessory books.
