Of greater relevance: Ozzie D2 ($42), very nice 5th print OD&D set (would be high side of EX, but for some age toning on the box; all the books are NM) with earlyish Greyhawk and Blackmoor thrown in ($83), "Book of Treasure" ($37), Arneson's 1977 "Dungeon Master's Index" (never heard of this and paid high 'coz Paul saw it, too), a few unexpected wins off Burnie Bros ("Classic Warfare" at last. *yay!*), nice Greyhawk for a present ($11; bargains getting rare on the supplements these days) and a first print unpunched WBRM in original packaging ($88 )

I have a Dungeon Masters Index. I had no idea it was rare or worth anything maybe $50. I've had it for years, got it from a local in a lot sometime back. It's listed on the After-glow not to fondly so I disregarded it as having any big $numbers$ attached to it.  

One self-published item called "The Dungeon Master's Index". This is a rather useless index of all the monsters, spells, etc. found in chainmail, the original D&D and its supplements, and the seven issues of The Strategic Review. Dave Arneson was assisted by Dave Meggary (editor) and Heritage Miniatures (graphics).

It's interesting to note there's no printing information in the book. Was this sold at Con's or maybe mail-order? It would only be useful to a DM with most of if not all the supplements. I find it very useful especially since the rules where growing with each supplement so an index is valuable for play. What's it worth anyway?

Would've been $16 without Paul bidding. Was $48, with....
Not too much of an "ouch" at the current exchange rate, even with international shipping.

The box looks a lot worse in real life than it does in the photo.  I think every edge of the lid is split with 3 layers of masking tape on the outside and tape on the inside keeping it together.  The base isn't much better.  But the contents are in great condition.
