Empire of the Petal Throne, $27.65.  I believe it's a TSR 1975 near mint complete 1st-2nd print, but not certain.  I'll check it out when it arrives.

Thought I made out.

Didn't last long. Guy is now no longer ebay registered and I still don't have module. Hasn't responded to emails. Ebay says he has been removed (or left on his own accord) and they will not give details. I do have the phone number he left on his profile. Guess I'll give it try tomorrow, but it probably is useless...damn.

Gonna see if Paypal will help out, but I doubt it.

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

Not hugely collectable in this form.  But a very good price I thought.

And here was me looking at a different Black Dragon no more than a minute or two ago...

If you're gonna point out a Nanorien Stones without a Folder, the least you can do is point out mine with a folder.  :)

(I've got a Fez, valley of trees without a folder I haven't listed yet too.  :) )

*blinks; checking again...*.

A rare seller who severely understated the condition of their sale items. Even more than I'd expected, given the pics.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 5925003507

The PHB (1st print) isn't "good", it's near-as-dammit mint.
A few small flaws from the printing process and a couple of miniscule creases on the cover from when the book was opened (once or twice ever, perhaps?).
Interior, perfect. Unread, no name, nothing...

The MM (3rd print) would almost have been better, were it not for the (unmentioned, but observed) sauce stain on the cover. Have only managed to reduce this in effect, not remove it, alas. (Crying shame, that...).

=

(Thanks for the PM afterwards, <Deimos>. Much appreciated, even if overly generous!
Do you really need copies, or was it just /those/ ones that caught your eyes? Very good spot, if so...).

I gotta admit, that snipe really stung.  I thought that one had managed to avoid the notice/desire of everyone else.  It wasn't immediately obvious that they were soft covers.  (I do need a soft cover PHB, but at the moment my bidding is on hiatus until I determine just how poor I am, I just bought a house!).  I assume the DMG and blue rulebook are nothing special?

Hrr... I'll have a scout around.
The PHBs are undoubtedly more scarce, although I'm still checking on the various printings, too.

The only spare I know I've got is pretty dire. Will have a check, just in case...

deimos3428 wrote:It wasn't immediately obvious that they were soft covers.

A few sneak through, which somewhat depresses the overall prices.
I normally snag those (poorly identified copies), round up the auction price and add to the research pile.

EX 7th print Basic Rulebook with the chits bound in (hadn't seen that before, but of little value)
EX+ 3rd print DMG (interior pristine; would make an excellent present were it not for the fact it's a far better copy than I owned before)

Certainly about as much as I could have hoped for, given the pics...

Tim Kask's Adventure Gaming #1 and #2:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... :EOAB:US:6
Anyone know how many in total were published?

Lot of stuff including a Dungeon Geos set 1:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... RK:MEWN:IT

Tractics in shrink:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... RK:MEWN:IT

and a set of FINIEOUS PHIGURES:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... RK:MEWN:IT
Does anyone have a spare Treaury to trade?  Also, does anyone have a complete listing of all of the Phinieous strips in print---after The Dragon, he moved to Space Gamer and also to Tim Kask's Adventure Gaming, though I don't know the exact chronology.

Hi Allan -

Well done on the Phigures. That's one of the items on my watch list that I want to acquire some day... doesn't have a high priority but I'll get a set eventually.

Adventure Gaming put out 13 issues in total, I believe. And if anyone has issues 9 and 12 up for sale or trade, let me know.

I don't know the exact chronology of Fineous' movements, but as I have most/all of Dragon, SG and AG magazines, I could work it out. And perhaps I will... I'll have a look for you at some stage in the near future (no promises though, as I'll need to wait for the next rainy weekend when I've run out of other things to do). Also, I'm thinking he may have appeared in another magazine as well, but can't think of it.

Regards

Mike
