I think you're porked, Greg. Mine has 5 double and 3 single as well.

Check this out.  I live in Atlanta, out in the burbs, and there's this really rustic backwater town called Mableton -- it's not even a suburb yet, it's strictly rural Olden American.  I went to a bookstore hoping to find something interesting, and I asked specifically about RPGs and she said "Oh, we get 'em, but they don't stay around long at all, they get snapped up real quick".

And I'm thinking..."IN MABLETON FREAKIN' GEORGIA?!"  *sigh*  The other places nearby have limited selectionsd as well.  I did find my RQ 2e rulebook at another store for $6.95, and it's worth probably $25, but they also had a red steel boxed set for $16.95 because it's "rare".

It seems that even the most remote bookstores know what things are worth, based on either eBay, ABEBooks, and/or Alibris.

i've had that problem too.  even the most remote book stores and tiny hobby shops charging $25 for any planescape module.  when i was in ohio i'd go to these stores called "Half-Price Books", they were great.  they would try to charge what things were worth, occassionaly, but fail.  every once in awhile they'd have a dungeon #9 or something behind glass trying to get $15 out of it, while a complete book of necromancers and a manual of the planes are sitting on the shelf for half of their original retail price.

Fifth UK print (Was hoping it might turn out to be some rare Oz printing):

Didn't get round to bidding.  But contacted the seller who sold for AU$1.  Postage was another AU$13.  But still better than the £20-£25 I've seen the last two copies go for.

dsaunders:

3 - 504  But got selected for Pathfinder School, so back to Benning, then on to Panama. Spent a long time down there, came back, got selected for Ranger school, back to Benning (among others), then came Desert Storm - came one week before step off.

So...I didn't spend a whole lot time at Bragg. In case you haven't found it, there was a great barber shop run by Koreans ... can't remember the name, but the massages after the cut were great! :) Of course that was 14 years ago...damn, I'm getting old and my knees look like shit.

After active duty, I went into Army Reserve here in Michigan. Got out about five years ago...still miss it, though.

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

Thanks to Malcolm for not bidding high and to Frank for checking whether I'd spotted it (not even mentioned when the seller was asked a direct question!).
No idea what any of the other people were bidding on, but I s'pose it gives me a chance to read through the new rules set...

Heh, heh... can remember a whole stack of 'em in Edinburgh. Should've bought more than one copy (now looking rather worn).

You also get to see my envelope from the old "The Dungeon Hobby Shop". I don't know if it's a serious collectible, but it is fun. I was wondering if anyone else had one of these, or if there was more than one type.

That Dungeon Hobby Shop envelope's fun; based on the troll, it looks like DCSIII artwork, though it's hard to tell.  I ordered from them pretty regularly in the early 80s, but I never got one of those envelopes.  Very nice :D

Nah, was only $48, even with plenty of bids... (didn't check what the rest of the set went for). You did well to get $100 (and could've made $40-50 here, if so ;))

Regarding Kithbook Pooka:

I watched it with 8 minutes to go. . . thought about sniping it, but what the hell . . . the high bidder is going to stick it in his ebay store and probably charge $100-150 for it (he will get it sooner or later).

That really is a pretty low price, but too risky to pay that outright and try to sell again.

*tries to figure out whether that was a vote of confidence in the marketplace, or not*

thx.

Yeah, must admit sounded like good reading, and was half-tempted on that score before I posted it here.
(Still trying to guess whether there's a single Harvey reference ;) ... or do these "bunnies" have big sharp pointy teeth....?)

Do any of you see a Night's Dark Terror amongst all those unlisted modules?  I didn't, yet there was a Complete B10 with unpunched counters in the box.

Nice.  :)

I see it, but you would never know from the picture. It is the third module in from the left. You can only see the bottom corner. The color is correct, so I am guessing that is it.

Nice find Harami!  :D Was it just Starstone in there, or was there something else that I missed too?

I found a few bargains last week too:

Black Tower (Midkemia)
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... RK:MEWN:IT

Tome of Mighty Magic (Gamescience)
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... RK:MEWN:IT

and I snagged a copy of the Gamescience Fantasy Gamer's Compendium from abebooks after losing it on eBay :D

This sometimes goes for up to $20 for the single sheet, so price-wise you did OK.  They were available from Noble Knight, though, for something like $3 or $5 IIRC.
